Wales side named a day early

Jac Morgan takes the captaincy for the first time

Lots of new faces, untried, untested

But no better opportunity than now

Halfpenny wins his 100th Welsh Cap

    Both props get their debuts

So too max Llewelyn in the centre. Son of Gareth Llewelyn, former Wales lock

Excited with that side with the exception of North
Hopefully he gets subbed early so Grady can get on

We need to see all the new guys now, not in France

    waleseng.jpg

Leigh Halfpenny; Louis Rees-Zammit, George North, Max Llewellyn, Rio Dyer; Sam Costelow, Gareth Davies

Corey Domachowski, Ryan Elias, Keiron Assiratti, Dafydd Jenkins, Will Rowlands, Christ Tshiunza, Jac Morgan (captain), Aaron Wainwright

    Replacements:
Elliot Dee, Nicky Smith, Henry Thomas, Ben Carter, Taine Plumtree
Tomos Williams, Dan Biggar, Mason Grady

    Sam Costelow

While you tubing selected players new to me I especially enjoyed this re: Sam Costelow. He is fun to watch, looks an exciting addition from the Welsh Flyhalf factory. Your thoughts on him Mike?

    Very talented and skillful

Back himself and takes it to the line

    Blows hot and cold unfortunately

With 6 recent first stringers, it ought to. But looks a bit imbalanced to me.

I don’t t see what Borthwick is trying to achieve or discover with that selection. I am … underwhelmed.

Marcus Smith is simply an unbelievable talent. Just a superb presence to surpass Jonny Sexton as the most hateable man in international rugby at such a young age, with a tenth of the talent and all while Sexton is on a ban for being an A grade fluffybunny.

Yeah bit clueless as to what the 6N are trying to achieve with these games. Only thought is to keep the second XV "fresh"?

Yeah but then you have to show your strengths/weaknesses at the 5m lineout...

England showing the kind of skill the 2021/22 ABs were known for - snatching a turnover from a sure thing try.
