Good to get Goodhue and Hallam-Eames back, Nock returning too and Tama Anderson gets a shot on the wing after a good outing in the dev side on the weekend.

A few players returning from injury, but far from our top side with several players still missing.

Have you seen much of him? Any good?

@Duluth seen enough at club level, is a bit on the small side, but is a smart player with good pace.

@Stargazer very handy side though. Hawkes Bay have gone from strength to strength in recent years

Hawkes Bay are about as strong as they're going to get for what they have available. That loose trio will cause issues if we allow them to play their game.

Must win for Northland. Over the halfway hump now with teams surrounding us on the upward trajectory. Can't be left behind. No excuses, just go and win. Simple.

Not in the backline and the last five words of that sentence say it all with several players still missing due to injury.

@Stargazer you'd definitely have a better idea than me about your team, but it still looks handy IMO..especially up front.

    What's your injury list?

@J77 Our fourth choice hooker from the development team has been named at 16, because our third choice hooker (Devery) is injured; our second choice hooker has been named at 17, because our 2nd (Tim Farrell) and 3rd choice (Tu'ungafasi) LH props are injured; our fourth choice TH prop is named at 18, because our 1st choice just left to join Tonga ('Apikotoa) and our 3rd choice (Salmon) is injured. In the backline we have a centre and a reserve midfielder who shouldn't even be in the squad, but probably are because they were still under contract and Toala and Fomai are with Samoa. No Lowe, Tiatia and Makene in the 23 and Tu'itavuki just left to join Tonga, too. Isaia Walker-Leawere is injured, too. Still waiting for Brad Weber to return.

@J77 we are getting players back now, 4 in the 23 with 3 probable starters and a couple of bench players away from full strength.

Just need to play some rugby and sort our discipline.

@taniwharugby looking a lot healthier than it was that's for sure.

We just need to be smarter. Channel that Ta$man game attitude and we'll be okay. Unfortunately that's the only time we've seen us use our heads for 80 minutes this season.

The HBRU have now removed the team line-up from their socials. An injury during captain's run? That doesn't bode well.

@Stargazer looks like they may change the opponents. The image you posted has you guys jumping in the DeLorean and going back to play Auckland on the 26th. Who knows though..

Haha, and that's not close to the team we put out against Auckland either. The social media guy must be drunk.

@Nepia sloppy. As you know there are people out there who will genuinely think you're playing Auckland again. Need to chuck a North in front of the Auckland and change the logo.. fixed!

Hopefully we get the W this time. We can't be overshadowed by the Poo. 🙂

That was probably the smartest and consistent we have played a game for years.
