Would rather it be the other way around, but hey as long as Hohepa isn’t starting I’m happy.

@Canes4life Must really be being careful with higgins - this is a pretty critical game to win.

Yeah but also he’ll be undercooked for such a big game so makes sense giving him another week at club rugby. My pick is we’ll see him feature against the Force next week.

Probably has a lot to do with the fact that PUJ and Sullivan are playing well enough to so there’s no pressure to rush Higgins back a week early. If he was ready he would be in there. A shit load of wraps on him on this thread this year so hope he lives up to expectations. Talented player.

Unless you’ve heard anything it sounds unlikely. His injury is still TBC so I’d imagine he’s still under a big injury cloud.

Yeah, it’s a shame with Jordie gone this year he hasn’t been able to take the field yet. I think it will take him a few games to get going as well, so hopefully he’ll be humming by the time the playoffs come around (if we make it).

That’s great news. But won’t mean much if we don’t win this week as it could spell curtains on our season.

Shame for the guys finally returning, if we don't make playoffs. Hard to push for AB selection then.

I wouldn’t say that, you’re 2 points off 6th spot. Aussie sides are about to play a bunch of kiwi sides, still plenty of weeks left for the canes to climb up. Too much talent and potential to say the season would be over this early.

Yeah they might creep into the top 6 eventually but I think if you want to win this comp you really need to be in the top 3 at the very least. If they can beat the Crusaders on Friday and then the Force next week, they'll shoot right up the table and will finally have most of our players back. Here's hoping.

That's a handy looking selection to play at home. Front row battle should be interesting - I'd give the Canes the advantage here. How deep Hohepa stands from good delivery by Roigard and whether he looks to take on the line should go a long way to determining the outcome.

And of course the bench looks stronger for the home team. Injury toll for the Crusaders may be telling.

    Braydon ENNOR Hamstring
    4 weeks

He has to be the most unlucky player with injuries I have seen.
Has anyone missed more games than him?

Ethan? Or does he only get hurt for the ABs?
