@jegga said in Another World War imminent?:
Back to the circle jerk, drivers been caught and the passenger killed so I guess that means not a lone wolf?
Have they said it was the driver? They said "suspicious person" but hadn't confirmed it was the driver last I read.

Stuff is saying the drivers been caught , it's also saying Kim Kardashian may have gone too far with the outfit she wore last night so they pretty obviously have their finger on the pulse.

Just to cheer you all upThat is a very funny read. I'm only five months late replying.

Out on a limb prediction:
This was a lone wolf with mental issues. The fact that he's Muslim is purely coincidental and it could just as easily have been a Buddhist.
@jegga said in Another World War imminent?:
@Rancid-Schnitzel it's because he was marginalised by western society as they refuse to fully embrace multiculturalism.

Let's cut to the chase. What it all boils down to is that straight white males are to blame.
And so begins the same circle jerk we’ve read on here a hundred times before. Don’t forget to like each other’s posts boys.
We all love a good circle jerk mate. Just do your bit and pass the biscuit along.

Me too but 5 months is nothing and I might rename myself "Some tiresome fucker" out of respect.
I even "up voted" Donsteppa but want no part of circle jerking (having just discovered what that actually is...) and appaerently what you are referring to is a different thing @No-Quarter .I might start a "awful things you learn on the internet thread".

Saw a tweet stating the trucking company lost contact with the original driver at 4pm local. So truck might have been hijacked / stolen at some point

And in a lesson more useful in the "fake news" thread. Stuff is wrong. Shocking.
Look at the places people are citing re this on this page - Stuff, Daily Mash & random guysTwitter feeds...

@Snowy Do it. I suggest a title like "Everything is Terrible".
Didn't we used to have a 'Things that piss me off' thread.
Great for curmudgeons like myself to moan about people that stop at the top of escalators or can't walk down the street without staring at their phones.

I tend to just walk straight through them. Most people apologise even after my shoulder has hit them. As they should.
I tend to very heavily step down off the tube whenever anyone is blocking the doors too. That 8 inch drop can really add a lot of momentum.

@Crucial You'll be loving being in England then, the home of:

Let's gather to talk in this entrance/exit, ignorant of all others wishing to use it.

I'll just stop at this station ticket entrance/exit and dig around for my ticket, ignorant of all others I'm blocking from using it.
-
Let's gather bang in the middle of this walkway and talk, ignorant of all the other foot traffic having to awkwardly navigate around us.
-
Oh a car is waiting to turn right of this main thoroughfare and has left loads of room to go around, I'll just wait behind them anyway (Also loved by Sydney-siders).

Why is it that in such a busy and crowded city as London has no etiquette developed regarding walking on one side of the footpath? It is so random.
The missus described things well...'they drive like they walk whereas we walk like we drive'
-
-
@Crucial Yeah the other thing that gets me is the people that walk straight at you. I'll often just stop...Which makes me that guy gathering in the middle of the walkway.
Or when I'm standing off to the side outside a station, the people that walk past close enough to knock a phone out of my hand, when there's a whole footpath to walk on.
This shit starts wars.

@Crucial when I used to go running, other runners, walkers and cyclists were rarely polite and didn't move on the left, rarely got a nod, smile or thanks when I moved out of thier way..was tempted to brace for the impact a few times, but decided I would just be being a Cnut. Dog walkers were always polite when I was out running though...and the above usually was irrelevant of age brackets.
As to the drivers, we are mostly arsehole drivers, I found Brits largely very considerate.
