That's the conundrum
For every opinion calling for someone to be replaced, nobody offers the solutions
There aren't too many aside from shuffling deck chairsMight have to go through the repeated pain of 18 months of blooding young ones again (trying to think of them..ummmm....)
-
@No-Quarter I used to think of Santner as an all rounder, back in the day he could be relied upon a for a good 30 runs each time. But then his batting went to shit. So I think he's just a bowler nowadays, maybe a bit high due to past feats. And we can't have Neesham and Anderson, they are too alike and unfortunately not good enough at either discipline (especially Anderson, who is definitely living on past glories.) Ronchi shouldn't be anywhere near the openers, and it's a sad state of affairs when a temporary measure and old timer like Broom still continues to be needed as he his.
It makes me worry about cricket at a domestic level, that we don't have young guys full of piss and vinegar ready to step up and unleash. Is it a coaching thing? Is it lack of top quality opposition? I don't want to go straight to lower player numbers, because in the past we have held our own. But this Champions Trophy has been a disappointment of collapses. -

Pakistan beats England by 8 wickets in the SF.
I can see India winning this.
Bloody Pakistan, could there be a more inconsistent team in any sport?
Comon Bangladesh!!!!
-
Pakistan just about messed up their final qualifying game vs Sri Lanka. But, they've dished out a drubbing to England.
NZ, Oz and England all showing the perils of having your lower middle order fall over!
India will fancy their chances - they should be too good for the Bangles!
-
Bangles got slaughtered which was not unexpected. Pakistan massively unlikely to put together two performances in a row, I can see the final being one-sided.

I had a feeling the hype around the English team was building too far... from a couple of Cricinfo headlines over the weekend it sounded like they had the comp in the bag.
Now you know what being an England cricket fan entails. Why we can't wait until we've actually won something before we start chest beating is beyond me. I mean, after all these years. Sheesh!

Caught the final 10 overs of the Pakistan innings and they batted excellent. Big score of 338 and all the pressure on India.
India have the firepower but lose a few early ones and the RR will build.

Bam bam! Rohit and Kohli gone cheaply.

Pakistan, a better ODI bowling side than batting, pulled out a massive batting performance and backed it up with excellent early bowling. India under massive pressure and crumbled.
