Jaxxyn
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=12137314
Forget about the cyclist, the police should be looking to prosecute the parents for inflicting cruelty through name
And what a surprise - white trash family embellished their story for public sympathy:
Dunedin police have decided against charging a cyclist involved in a collision with a child last week. Officers have also established the man did not swear at the child, as alleged by the child's family this week, while the cyclist also stopped to provide immediate assistance. The cyclist collided with the 3-year-old Jaxxyn Scott near Dunedin's "Dinosaur Park" in St Kilda last Wednesday, leaving the the child with a broken leg, along with abdominal and head injuries. Senior Sergeant Jared Kirk, of Dunedin, said the 64-year-old cyclist contacted police after media coverage of the incident. In a version of events corroborated by an independent witness, the cyclist said he stopped to provide immediate assistance and did not abuse the family, Snr Sgt Kirk said. "He did not realise the child had been seriously injured and was advised by a family member that the child was OK and he should continue on his way. "At no time did he swear at the child or any of the child’s family members. "The man is devastated at the injuries suffered by the child." The man had been issued with an infringement notice for riding on the footpath, but no charges would be laid. Snr Sgt Kirk said police had advised the injured child’s family of this and they are satisfied with the outcome.```
Satisfied with the outcome -police code for if they pushed it further they’d get charged with making a false statement.
White trash ususally have an ingrained persecution complex because blaming others for your place in the world is easier than taking a good look at their own shitty life choices. They’ll be telling their friends “ the police wouldn’t do nuffing about what that fluffybunny did to poor little Jaxxyn”.
The aunt is defending herself on Facebook and - surprise, surprise - blaming someone else:
We didn't lied... Jaxxyn back in hospital from what has happened, hate all you like but this is absolutely bullshit I hope the media and everyone else is Happy thinking we made up a lie. He in so much pain in and out of the hospital the doctor plus more.
Sad but predictable, one of you needs to friend this creature and see if it’s trying the “ when people find out the true story they’ll be shocked” distraction as well.
@Bones you should definitely friend her and offer to help with her spelling and punctuation.
I don't feel she needs it enough, not being from p-town.
I live at least five minutes drive from p-town. I wonder why she randomly capitalised Happy in the middle of a sentence? Is it a white trash code?
Talk to @MN5 he's your Taita/Naenae man.
Spell correctly and announciate your words. They'll think you're some kind of film star.
I think you mean enunciate.
That's spell checks fault not mine. I thought it looked wrong to be fair.
Blaming others? Tick.
Isn't that what middle aged white guys do?
Hang on. There's white and then there's pastey.
Guilty on both counts

There’s probably a joke about a comfortable luxurious ride waiting to be told there.

Actually Cressida is not an unusual name. Some character from Greek traditions I think.
Yeah. Greek / Trojan stories. Supposed to have been some sort of traitor I think.
I was actually looking in that article for someone called Corolla. Sienna and Avalon spring to mind as Toyota names but it would be hard to go past naming a son Hilux (if I was a bogan toyota fan).

My daughter's friend Kennedy is a really cool kid. Not sure I would have named a girl "Kennedy" but with all the "Madison" and such floating around, why not?
Anyway, Kennedy has 5 brothers, and I believe her Dad is a hardcore Catholic Philippino (Anglo Mum), so they just had their 2nd daughter.
Carrington.
Yeah. Yeah, nah...

Facts have no place in a thread mocking people on the internet.
Also Hilux is a great first name although I think numbers aren’t allowed in people’s names so SR5 isn’t a possible middle nane. Maybe surf or fourunner?

what makes me laugh is the parents attempt to justify the use of an odd name, rather than we wanted to be a bit different and liked this name they come up with some vague reasoning about it.

To prove these names are a silly recent thing I could search right through my school yearbooks and I wouldn’t find any Crestas, Zephers or Vivas. Datsun would have been laughed out of town as would Super Snipe
We had a Zephyr at school. They might as well have called him “ helping police with their enquires” .

We had Harley and Bonneville , I don’t think those two names were very rare though compared to Japanese bike names. Never come across a Katana or Goldwing

FAKE NEWS
Cressida is a Middle Aged invention placed into the Troy narrative.
Chaucer's deals with the story. Effectively Cressida was married to Priam's youngest son but sent to mainland Greece as a hostage whereupon she drops her knickers for Diomedes as soon as she sees him.
Shakespeare also has a play Troilus and Cressida but it is all a mediaeval fiction. Cressida became a byword for female betrayal and inconstancy.
Strange name therefore to give your daughter - or a car
