odd to me that the citizenry are overwhelmingly against Middle East tie-ups (even Trump's base) but these GOP Senators push so aggressively for it.
It's almost as if they represent a different set of interests................Isnt the announcement of pulling out of Syria linked to the fact he says he has destroyed IS?

@taniwharugby
Yes, though I don't think it is 100% correct.
They have been massively weakened and pretty much fucked over. -
More than doubled in less than a day.

From his resignation letter
"One core belief I have always held is that our strength as a nation is inextricably linked to the strength of our unique and comprehensive system of alliances and partnerships. While the US remains the indispensable nation in the free world, we cannot protect our interests or serve that role effectively without maintaining strong alliances and showing respect to those allies."

Well Styx goes over why this go-fund me is doomed for failure.
- Will probably be shutdown for 'muh racism'
- $1,000,000,000 isn't 1 Billion after tax and the Go-Fund Me cut
- With Democrats controlling the house there is no guarantee that this money would even go toward the wall

Can anyone tell me why the current POTUS can not possibly employ anyone in position of power who wants to stay and do the job?
Or am I missing something?
Should be noted that Obama had 4 SoDs, 3 of whom heavily criticised him.

That was my next question. Is it isolated ro DJT, or is this a common trend?

nobody likes having an irrational fool as a boss, who will criticise them in public if they disagree with him in any way, and blame everyone but himself for things going wrong.
when you take into account that it is largely extremely committed people we are talking about (to have got that far), and largely their dream jobs that they are walking away from - it paints a pretty ugly picture.
the nature of the jobs does mean that there will always be someone less able and experienced but plenty ambitious further down willing to take it on. and that's a concern - anyone willing to just toe the trump line rather than do the job to the best of their ability will be more successful, but sycophants don't make for a great organisation. -

I think it more likely that every president gets through staff at a rate of knots, but it is never reported as breathlessly by the media. Do any of us actually know how high the turnover under Obama and Bush was? I didnt . Was never really talked about, because the media didnt make a huge fuss. Trump however... different story, now every single resignation is poured over and amplified. Who actually cares? I am sure his supporters dont and I am sure his detractors do, not because they actually care, but because it gives them a chance to paint Trump as a horrible perspon.
