@mariner4life Yeah, I don't agree with the "bottling it" merchants. With the squad and manager they've got, all the financial resources, the more than favourable cup draws, City will have bottled massively if they don't win from here.

Man City have won 16 of their last 17 games in all competitions. That's phenominal. Made to look even better when you realise they have a few guys out.
Surely they need to go on an win the Champs League to prove they are at that next level?
And this is the ray of hope for a 'Pool team who may - I repeat may - be coming out of a mid-season slump with a comparatively easy run home in the League. There's no way City can finish the rest of the League season without dropping points when you factor this in.
-
I think only Spurs have "bottled it" in the title race - an early game at Burnley where they could have got within touching distance of the top 2 and they blew it. Making the race for 3rd and 4th between 4 teams instead of 3 teams fighting it out for 4th.
Strangely both City and Liverpool haven't hit the heights of last season in their performances but up until recently, Liverpool were finding a way of winning the narrow games. Not City have had 2 x 1-0 wins on the bounce. Title race is far from over at this point but both clubs will know anything less than a win isn't good enough in any game.
Meanwhile Spurs are going nicely so far in Dortmund and there is a potential boilover with Ajax 2-0 up away to Real Madrid.

huge result this morning with Ajax making out like it's the mid-90s and smacking Real at the Bernabau (is that two losses in two big games at home in 4 days for Real?).
I am not going to give Spurs too much shit actually, they have the smallest wage bill of the big 6, and the smallest squad. They are also desperately trying to finish a stadium, which i assume is why the transfer market has been ignored. I reckon they are doing a pretty fine job, but they are just tired. Considering they are 3rd, and now through to the next round of the Champs League, it's still looking a pretty fair season.

Unbelievable start for Man U away at PSG chasing a 2-0 deficit! 0-1 up after 2 mins!!!
I had totally written them off before the game.
1-2 going into the final 10 minutes - one goal for United wins it.
It really is thrilling. While I am no Man U fan, I hope they knick it!

@MajorRage just seen the below, so you think dodgy. I understand now
"This one will probably rage on and on. Was it a pen? Kimpembe's back was turned, it definitely hit his arm, and he was around 10 yards away from the shot.
Technically a penalty. Soft? Perhaps. Do United care? Not one bit. "

Bang on, all counts. Gotta keep as down I suppose ... but still!

If his arms are flung out it is a pen. Gotta keep arms down these days

That's a great result for Man U, fuck off PSG, and fuck off Neymar.

How can they deny Ole now? He is a good choice. Inexperienced? Yes. But he clearly has the players onside, has won some big games and is Yanited through and through. They could do worse

He has lost one game, to PSG, and then beat them at home in a pressure cauldron environment with Children on the pitch.
What more could they ask of a manager?
