Shortly after in this case is 12 years
Or 9 per the article, but point taken.
I suspect if it was Carl Hayman, Canberra Raiders' legend instead we wouldn't quibble on those things.
Read the article? Why start now.
Thought his last test was the match that never happened in 2007 (checked and Wikipedia confirms). So 11.5 years ...
And no I would not likely comment on the Canberra Raiders.
Also, can you fill me in on the other domestic incidents? Savea and who else?
-
@rotated on history you'd say that's due to it being mission impossible for the NRL. Whereas on the whole I'd say most ABs would have shown, and personally acknowledged, positive growth as part of being involved. No initiative or goal like that is ever going to have perfect outcomes, but I've never felt the ABs have overstated it in the overall scheme of things.

At least a few of them were granted name suppression so I'll play by the rules, although they were open secrets at the time... but one was mid 00's, two late 00's and Savea which was public. All had more than a cup of coffee in black.
I think one of the later 00's one did not end with charges though.

Does that Chiefs player tonguing a strippers balloon knot count?

If I'm right in assuming the balloon knot is the same thing as a rusty sheriff's badge, i'd say the man gets a get out of jail free card.

@rotated Sivivatu was widely reported.
I was thinking the other day that there seems to be a high proportion of wings in the dickhead club.
Guildford, Howlett, Savea, Sivi.....am I missing anyone ?

Some anti Reiko posters claim he is because he’s aggressive, is Akira’s brother, and forced Jordie to throw a quick line out intercept try. 😉

...Good team, good processes - but they need to stop talking it up because it's approaching the Australian cricket team's "we are the keepers of where the line is" stuff.
Do they really say that? The team which just welcomed back in a defrocked captain who cried, a 28 year old leader of what was once a noble entity, when he was caught out cheating? I hear they have rewarded the grubby master cheat too, the small fellow with a big gob, a gutter mouth and too little intelligence to offer an amusing sledge, who cannot cop a little bit for his corner.
I do hope they face South Africa soon and that the crowd gives the li'l fella plenty more about Sonny Bill porking madly away in a nightclub dunny.
Point of order, I don't think you can say "pork" and "Sonny Bill" in the same sentence esp during Ramadan.

Farken hell talk about people inventing offence! None of those things mean you're anti Reiko.

Nah just kidding, that post was in jest. I 100% wasn’t thinking about you when I wrote it either.

Well that's just downright disappointing.

the same first name as Rieko Ioane
Cousin of some bloke called Ishwhale Flou I think
-
Didn't Hayman have a close family member who had a tragedy or medical situation which shortened his career? Read some where it was the reason he took the pot of gold in Frogland.

who is this Reiko guy? Almost has the same first name as Rieko Ioane
He's that blues player that acts like a right munter. Rieko Ioane plays for the ABs, he's ace.
