About bloody time. We all know that white men are naturally evil. I think with this victory true equality is now within our grasp!
Well played.
I can see all the parents of 5-year old prep school pupils encouraging their little darlings to join Freddy, Filbert and Penelope and become FIREFIGHTERS.
Said no one ever.
Fucking idiots.

He's still known as Postman Pat down the pub.
My old man was in a male voice choir when he was alive and as you can imagine there were quite a lot of Davids among the choristers.
One was a postman who was always late for the bus on concert day so he became

This is properly mental from Labour at their conference:
Labour delegates have endorsed radical plans that would abolish private schools by removing their charitable status and redistributing their endowments, investments and properties to the state sector.
Conference delegates approved a motion that said such a commitment should be included in the party’s next general election manifesto. The motion added universities would be limited to admitting the same proportion of private school students as in the wider population, currently 7%.

I get where they are coming from - all children should have access to the same opportunities, regardless of parental wealth.
But this seems rather extreme, and frankly, quite a pathetic way to try and appease to the "woke" generation. Would Corbyn himself have got where he did without his private school education?
The Labour party, in my view, are complete fucked. Just heard now that aparently they are going to push for a shorter working week ... !

Just lost the election

In anything approaching normal times they would have lost that the moment Corbyn was elected leader.

Yeah, it's the asset seizure part that's the most insane. And that fact the delegates passed this, so it has to become manifesto policy for the next election? Or is it just a non-binding recommendation?
I agree with trying to equalize opportunities to an extent, but surely better to try improve state schools to close the gap, rather than destroy excellent private schools?
Lots of left-leaning middle class people scrimp and save to send (or aspire to send) their kids to private schools, feels like Labour are totally alienating them.
