Birmingham Yardley
Swinson losing her seat by a couple of hundred is sweet enough!
Only 149 votes!
Surely she'll stick to Lib Dem principles refuse to go and demand instead a peoples vote.
Don't laugh.
Read today the People's Vote campaign has a team of lawyers looking at ways to get the election re-run if BoJo won.

Potentially a hilarious result where the Tories get a majority but Boris loses his seat.
His comfortable electorate majority is looking very shaky with exits polls sitting in the margin of error.Slightly increased his majority. Whoever was predicting that may have been engaging in wishful thinking.
Saw they were mentioning that possibility on Sky News Aus this morning.
Last day or so the polls got tight apparently (Not just for Boris's seat). Seems they were right on the money ...

This is a parody account but it's actually highlighting an important reason as to why the main centre-left parties I'm the West are not doing well. It's become difficult to draw a distinction between them and the far left loonies, so people don't know what they're voting for anymore. They desperately need to clean house.

Owen Jones was the main peddler of this.

If that poll comes true.... Soooooo many battles to come
Boris vs Europe
Boris vs SNP
Left labor vs Far left labour
Lib dem vs Lib demCorbyn and McDonnell will be gone by Xmas.
You think? I reckon they are in complete denial about the popularity of their policies. They think theirs is a righteous cause and any failure to get people to vote for it is due to the right-biased news media. And you can bet they've got a plan to fix that...
Absolutely. A huge amount of Labour don’t believe in their policies. Gone by Friday.

My guess is he will hang in until the hard left can line up somebody else like Corbyn to replace him. I wouldn’t rule out them being dumb enough to push McDonnell forward.
Hey here’s a thought... Diane Abbott, Leader of the Opposition. POC (tick), female (tick), disabled (tick).

I don't think I'll get over Corbyn becoming the leader of a large political party in an important country.
Low IQ
Poorly educated
Terrorist sympathiser
Communist
Bland presentation and decidedly uncharismatic
Had sex with Dianne AbbottThe irony of labour fanboys thrashwanking over Trump being a buffoon when they have something like Corbyn . His right on causes might have looked like a rebel sticking it to the man when he was an mp with no real power it make him a complete liability as a leader though.
What is this clown fearful of?
-
@Tim to be fair in the lead up he was a lot more charismatic than I expected him to be having never bothered to listen to him speak prior. Absolute weasel though and perplexes me how those who support him cite Johnson as being horrible and a liar... Ummm...

Been enjoyable watching so many of the extremists being wiped away
Yes, that's a good outcome but there's a fair few sensible Labour MP's who lost their seats, sadly.

Maybe I'm just being optimistic but I do think the hard left policies of Labour are done. I'd like to think I don't necessarily have to vote blue when I walk into a polling booth. A credible opposition offering policies / plans which work in a credible democracy is what Labour should be. Not a left wing socialist haven.
I saw an argument on the train today. A woman had got off and there was a spare seat as two people argued that each other should take it. If you read a Corbyn agenda, this wasn't supposed to happen today. Apparently straight white people like me are now supposed to be fully entitled trampling over the sick, disabled and homeless to put more into our already substantially overflowing coffers.
I continue to be optimistic in that I think BoJo will push forward with his main agenda's as outlined. Crime, schooling, NHS. Yes, Brexit will trickle along and trade negotiations will open, and likely be very volatile (fisheries and ag will undoubtedly cause problems) but at least it now feels like we have a direction.
Corbyn is toast. It's time to celebrate.

This, from Tory strategist, Dominic Cummings sums it up:
“After the shock of the referendum, MPs and journalists should have taken a deep breath and had a lot of self-reflection of why they misunderstood what was going on in the country, but instead a lot of people just doubled down on their own ideas and f it up even more.
“That’s why something like this happens against expectations.
“All these better than average educated Remainer campaigner types who have waved around for eight weeks, for the last four months and didn’t understand what was going on and didn’t understand they were driving everyone mad.”
Mr Cummings added: “Hopefully now they’ll learn because it’s not good for the country, the whole dynamic to carry on.
“MPs need to reflect, the media needs to reflect and they need to realise that the conversations they have in London are a million miles away from reality.”*
