@Frank Coleman Hughes makes the point that with 330 million people, a 1 in a billion chance event happening to someone (e.g. lightening strike, getting kneeled to death like Tony Timpa in 2019 ) occurs to somebody nearly 3 times a week. Add in the high chance of that incredibly rare event being captured on a smart phone and all of a sudden we're reacting to lightening strikes and lotto wins like they're everyday occurrences that most people will soon experience... unless we change everything right now!
Our perceptions are so easy to manipulate in these modern times

@Siam I'm intrigued, how does that maths work?

I would guess that he’s assuming a certain number of different types of 1 in a billion events? I wonder how many he decided upon.
Nevertheless though, dubious maths or not, the message is on point.

@Siam @Catogrande he can just bloody say they're rare events then and not make up some bizarre mind worm for me to fixate on! He needs to cater to us dummies too.
He means you have a 1 in a billion chance of it happening TODAY. Which means that with 330 million people these 1 in a billion chances happen every 3 days.

As expected the movement does a little bit of a side-step and starts moving toward their new target
I'd expect them to move onto Kashmir & India's actions there shortly.

Damn, this dude laying it all out.
Both realities can be true, and right now BLM are only looking at one side. And based on the tweets above they are getting further and further from the core message

@canefan absolutely, and racist attitudes are still prevalent. But he's talking about death specifically, which a lot of the over the top rhetoric from BLM has focussed on. The stats don't back up the BLM narrative at all.

Which is a shame because these are real issues and they have a big opportunity right now. The NRA must be keeping very quiet right now

I think you might find these deaths are in cities with the strictest gun laws

Gun laws regarding sales? The far away impression I have is that it's pretty easy to get guns over the counter. I'm happy to be educated on this matter

@canefan Unfortunately a heck of a lot of folk in these riot cities are finding out that isn't the case at all. Coilon Noir was bought on to the Rogan podcast to talk about it as there's a big upsurge in people needing guns with the crime going on and the threat of police defunding.
