There's rumors Kamala Harris is in contention for the VP pick for Biden.
One of the few politicians more disingenuous than Hillary.
The Botox she appears to have had seems to have gone wrong rather horribly. If you were a dark-arts Democrat operative who wanted to fill the Presidency with a person who is realistically unelectable to the position in her own right, what better way than to put her on the ticket of a frail and failing man who has a decent chance of not completing his term? [\conspiracy off]
I think she would be a liability as running mate. Far too divisive.
That raises a good question.
Who would be a "winnable" running mate? -

You’re probably right, but 1) that may not stop them trying, and 2) their opponent is probably past his (dubious) peak.
It is a big gamble for the Dems to assume voters dislike the opponent so much that they'll back anyone you put up against him
But if that was the case they probably would have done it already.
The running mate could well come from a swing state yet, or if the spectre of Bidens age starts to resonate with voters than someone with strong government experience could be the choice to provide a safety net. -

Taibi made great points about the insecurities and half arsed will to be a president that Trump possesses. He neither has the will or fortitude to cause major problems ( civil or nuclear war) and is far too focussed on himself to bother for a cause. The next guy though...
The issue I have with comments like this is its crap. It might go will with the Trump haters though. And it suits Trump as his opponents underrate him. As he slowly transforms the US.
My god Taiibi speaks garbage (its like reading PR). He's another TDS sufferer that plays right into Trumps hands.

The Botox she appears to have had seems to have gone wrong rather horribly. The VP selection will be very interesting and an indication of Bidens confidence in the result.
He will be leaving it as long as possible to decide on either a tactical move or one better for governingShe looks a bit weird but it will likely tone down before long

Some interesting names in this list.
I’ll put a couple of bucks on Susan Rice. Just seems to fit better with the “rebuild” slant of the campaign.
Trying to do what the Nats are trying here. Things are shit but we can help rebuild. -

Um, taken the virus seriously?
To be fair to Trump, it was the Democrats who complained Trump was over-stating the danger from Coronavirus, tried to block his travel bans and restrictions and went around telling people not to worry about the disease.
E.g. Nancy Pelosi visiting Chinatown in late-Feb saying the Coronavirus situation was under control and it was safe to carry on as normal. Mayor Bill de Blasio was telling New Yorkers as late as mid-March to go on with life as normal as "Covid-19, even if you were to get it, basically acts like a common cold or flu.”
Trump hasn't covered himself in glory but his political opponents have been just as bad.

Well, much of the commentariat, media and the Democrats have spent the last 4 years blaming Trump for every political, social and economic problem that ever existed and painting him as the devil incarnate and uniquely evil. With Biden's current poll numbers they will think it has worked.
Personally, I think US voters will find the next POTUS just as divisive, lacking leadership and incompetent as the current one - possibly even more so.

At a guess, these kinds of stories help Trump with "average Joe" in America.
