As does everyone I know, whatever their political persuasion. No easy answer to that because loopholes n shit.
RHCP had like... maybe three good songs. More if you were drunk and single.
They were a very good rock band....'were' being the operative word. 'Blood Sugar Sex Magic' is a fucken masterpiece.
Having seen their recent concert set list I wouldn't got to a gig if you paid me.

@NTA it's a bit rich to be a preachy fuckstick like Bono or Bob Geldof when you're already loaded but pay tax offshore I reckon .
I bet most wealthy people do the same without bothering to try and appear as virtuous as these clowns.Whatever happened to "give a man a fish / teach a man to fish"?

If only Bono would just write a cheque and pay down Malawi's foreign debt, instead of ordering the IMF or World Bank and western governments to do so. I'm just imagining a lecture in between songs.
Actually the worst part of all their shit is that foreign aid for Africa has hurt the place economically over the longer term. Once they're on handouts, people lack impetus to solve their own problems.

I can't stand Kanye West. He is a tool in every way and his music sucks.
But a popular song I hated back in the day and still can't stand is 'What's going on' Four Non Blondes. Makes me want to punch a wall.
A rare example of the female vedd-ringer.

Mumford and Sons. I can’t even ignore that crap for a few minutes when it is on the radio. The radio goes off! They are so annoying! How can they be so annoying? I have thought about this. With the type of music they play, they are meant to tell a story, have snippets of wisdom to impart or tell about injustice. Instead it is non-nonsensical, bubble gum pop lyrics that insults your intelligence. Just f#%k off!!!!

I feel the same way about that 'I'm a bitch' song by Meredith Brooks

Think he sums up so much of what is wrong with todays 'musicians'

I hate Kanye now but loved his stuff 10 years ago. He was original, had a good flow and sampled well.
Amen to the earlier comments about Nirvana & Radiohead.
Add to that anything Fat Boy Slim or Daft Punk.
Im sorry but throw The Exponents in there too. I was dragged along to many of their pub gigs when I was at uni and the only reason was because I was seeing a chick named Tracy that thought the song was for her.

Stuff like Heard em Say & Gold Digger were outstanding, mainstream enough to cross over, really great flow, intelligent. Plus he'd only gone "uugh" on three songs at that stage so it wasn't so annoying. Its like the first few times you heard Jackson go "Wheee-Heee!".
Its not that hard to see why he was hailed as a genius when he popped up. Alas now he's gone fucking insane.
I never got Wonderwall. Oasis had a lot of cracking solid rock songs, and people went wild over the utter dross of Wonderwall.
That and Blur Song 2 (Wheeee-Whoooo!). Sweet baby jesus that song sucked balls. Tho' so did most of their songs. But at least Country House had Jo Guest in the video...

Yup Kanye was awesome when he first came out, as you say songs like Gold Digger were great. Completely lost the plot now though. Similar can be said about Beyonce, her earlier stuff while not my cup of tea was pretty good, but her latest album is full of completely insane shit with no beat and weird lyrics. If she was an unknown artist and released that it'd flop immediately.

Well pissed up kiwis at sporting events can only do "Why does love do this to me?" justice the first 20,000 times you hear it. After that it becomes a bit ho hum.
