The Old Man and the Gun. Robert Redford's last film as an actor. He plays an ageing bank robber in the late 70s/early 80s. This was an ok film, maybe even good, but it was a bit whimsical and narratively rambling.
However, one warning, it is deliberately filmed on old grainy film stock (which piston wristed gibbon critics call beautiful, but which I call crappy old shit) which is like watching a 480p download on a 60" TV. I actually started feeling sick watching it because I was too close to the screen and had to move right back.

They Shall Not Grow Old
Peter Jackson's homage to his grandfather and to commemorate the centennial of the end of WWI. Amazing footage of war on the Western Front brought to life in colour. Sombre, emotional and a fitting tribute to those that fought in such miserable conditions.

Went and watch 'A Star Is Born' last night.
I don't know squat about acting but do know what I like and I though Gaga was outstanding.
I loved the movie and would happily go and watch again. That girl has pipes and the dude in the movie sounded cool too.

Pretty sick story tho!
Fascinating, heartbreaking and disgusting in equal measure.
After the Jews were experimented on both physically & mentally during WWII it beggars belief that they would go and do the same. To their own.

Dinner with Herve.
Biopic about the final interview with the midget from the Man with the Golden Gun and Fantasy Island "The plane the plane!" He topped himself shortly after.
Pretty fascinating and everyone's go to dwarf Tyrion Lannister does a great job as Herve.

Not sure Tyrion woulda had much competition for the role especially since Mini Me died.
Gosh Tattoo was a creepy little fuck. Can definitely imagine him being a sexual deviant.

It's a very sad story. Poor little prick was born into a rich family (dad was a surgeon) and his mum basically disowned him. His dad made him undergo all kinds of fucked up operations to make him grow and he used to get the shit kicked out of him just because he was a midget. The worst part is that his organs were normal sized so you can imagine the pain he must have been in later in life.
Don't blame him for going nuts, but it was his own fault for ending up in the gutter. Not like he didn't make his handicap work for him.
