Right Here Folks! The most valid post in 2017!

Hansen didn't exactly have a glittering career prior to the ABs and he worked out pretty well!
If Foster is indeed the next AB coach it's also important what coaches he will have around him.
Tbf he did OK with Wales and at least had experience as an international head coach, including at a RWC. I'd be far more comfortable with Foster if he went out and coached a test team first.
Not sure Welsh fans would agree that he did okay. First ever coach in Welsh history to go through a 6Ns series without a win. He didn't last long and only coached 29 tests for 10 wins.

Again tbf, he was handed an utter shit sandwich. Wales also performed well at the 2003 RWC.

What happened to a transparent interview process?
Wft is with this illuminati mafia-style succession / coronation closed-shop bullshit?
I’d like to hear Fozzie’s interview….
Foster: Hi. Here for the interview. I’m pals with Steve.
NZRU: Um, have a seat please Mr Foster. Now then. What makes you the best candidate for the job?
Foster: Pals with Steve.
NZRU: Uh, anything else?
Foster: Um, let’s see. I have also put a great deal of effort into walking like Steve and talking like Steve and even eating like Steve. As you can clearly see, I am now a fat bastard, just like Steve. My commitment to becoming the next Steve is obvious. Did I mention Steve and I are pals? If you just give him a call, I am sure he will put in a good word for m
NZRU: Mr Foster, please detail your past coaching successes.
Foster: Uh, let’s see, I coached the Chiefs but then the next bloke came in and immediately won back-to-back Super Rugby titles.
NZRU: Crikey. So why don’t we just hire that guy? He sounds awesome.
Foster: Uhhh, that’s a tricky one. Can I use a lifeline and call Steve for this one?
NZRU: No.
Foster: OK. Um, I’d say because that winning coach isn’t pals with Steve and furthermore he doesn’t walk like Steve and talk like Steve and eat like Steve like I do. Does that answer your question?
NZRU: We'll be in touch. You should write for a living. Certainly better than some of the stuff that passes as stand-up comedy on Netflix these days

Reminiscent of one of those Clarke and Dawe interviews..

I don't have a problem with Foster necessarily, but the assistants need to be strengthened.
We've gone from having three guys incredibly overqualified for their respective roles - Henry, Hansen and Smith to three guys who will merely be qualified.
Each of the Cartel had NH experience and extensive provincial success as a head coach, the new appointments will likely have none.
The NZRU need to take a look at how to include more elite coaches in the AB set up and get back to where at least two or three of our top five brains are in the AB set up.

@Crucial wasn't there a day in the life of Fozzie by JP and @Donsteppa ?
Think we got to Sir Clive and Eddie Jones, but I don't remember Fozzie (and can't find one on Wayback Machine)
I've never figured out how Steve Braunias manages to write a Day/Week in the Life for someone each week, they were great fun to write, but the same gags start to recycle after you've done a few of them
