Verstappen to me looks to be just going through the motions, like he doesn't really care what happens. I wonder how much passion or motivation he has left after all his success and the shenanigans at RB. Almost looks like he is just collecting the paycheck and waiting for time to go so he can compete in his virtual racing.

Max has always said he will walk away young.
Suspect he will and then come back

@antipodean gone, was it funny?

@Machpants still there for me, I think some Insta posts can't be embedded.

@Machpants said in Formula 1:

But obviously not the best job
Who's to say which is the best job?

So basically our lad got shafted
Sounds like a good way to have a colossal waste of money. Is george your sauce?
Nope. Can't divulge, but it's close. All that shit Horner was spitting about looking after him, he hasn't spoken to him at the time of the announcement or since.
You are right though, I don't really see what the point of it was. If they had been serious he would have been given lots of reps like the kid at MB apparently had.
Regardless I think he's better off at Racing Bulls

@canefan it makes zero sense they would waste all that time and money in both teams, just to set him up for failure. If true, both teams should be looking hard at a senior leadership clear out, that's amateur hour stuff for when there's not millions on the line.

I don't know what else to say. You just do you. Like you always do. It makes no sense to me either

Whispers from the paddock....
Decision to cancel LL was basically a fait du compli in China
RB are making major changes to Tsunoda's car to make it more driveable. Something they never bothered to do with LLs car
So basically our lad got shafted
I think as soon as Honda were involved, it certainly became that. Japanese driver in the Japanese powered car for the Japan GP.
To be fair to Red Bull, he had all of the pre season testing & they made some serious changes pre the Chinese GP hence him having to start in the pit lane. You'd have to think that LL was involved in that and if he couldn't help them make it work, then he clearly wasn't the right man for the team.
It does seem that LL confidence was shot though, and that really is the beginning of the end. He's been given a life in Racing Bulls though, so lets see how he goes.
