@KiwiMurph there's a vacancy for next season, sad to see him go still had plenty to offer at all levels.
He turns 29 this year can't blame him for cashing in
What gets lost in the World Cup Final is how well Telea played that day - he had an absolute stormer.
-
@KiwiMurph he was lethal all tournament.
-
Uncanny ability to beat a man which will be missed. His skin must be covered in vaseline.
Not too fast relatively speaking but incredible balance and deceptive strength. You always got a sense something might happen every time he got the ball which is what you want in an AB winger !
Good career but getting long in the tooth for an AB outside back. Probably the right time to head off.

Yep, the other winger was the opposite ... thought @Bones would have mentioned this already.

I hear the blindside flanker wearing black played quite well that day too?

A shame.
Mark Telea's highlights reel is amazing. One of the great steppers and a superb finisher. But if he's been told he's unlikely to be part of the ABs 2027 RWC plans, then cashing in and moving to Japan is more than understandable.
Good luck and thank you, Mark!

@sparky Honestly kind of impressed that hes going North. He definitely could have easily gone and ripped up in Japan for 6 months for an easier ride. Will be very interesting to see how he goes in that environment, considering hes been sort of the golden boy for auckland/blues for so long and will need to prove himself in Leinster, and will be directly compared with Jordie having just been there
-
Seems Leinster may have a good relationship with NZR and helping them get these players. I sure I read that Razor or some from NZR met with Leinster to help plan how Jordie would be used ,ie not burnt out, and hope same is done here. A win win situation.
Like @DurryMexted I impressed he gone north, think he will learn more etc. -
He had a torrid time on Friday against Norris during the scrum but the Force have liked what they've seen so far from Josh Smith. Might be more difficult to tempt him back across the Ta$man in a few years, if the Force show this kind of faith early on.
Let's hope they can actually develop him, though. The Aussies don't have a great track record for developing props in recent years, at least not when it comes to the set-piece.
