A side note for Crusaders Fans who are interested the following players are locked and signed for 2026 some beyound 2026.
W JORDAN,J McNICOL S REECE, C FIHAKI L FAINGA’ANUKU,A TUIVAILALA D McLEOD R REIHANA N HOTHAM,K PRESTON C LILO-WILLIE D GARDINER,X SAIFOLI S BARRETT,A SHALFOON J HANNAH ,T CAHILL S CALDER,F NEWELL G BOWER K SYKES-MARTIN,T WILLIAMS C TAYLOR,I MOANANU
Light on midfielders, first fives and loose forwards - though I'd imagine they can readily sign Kemara and White. Have to see if O'Çonnor is up for another season. He'll turn 35 in a couple of months.
I wonder what they'll do with Finlay Brewis? I think he's come of the bench in one game in the past two seasons and has played 7 games in 4 seasons. Had no luck with injuries.
In this year's squad but not on your list:
Fletcher Anderson, Levi Aumua, George Bell, Ethan Blackadder, Finlay Brewis, Tom Christie, Mitch Drummond, Brayden Ennor, Cullen Grace, Dave Havili, Corey Kellow, Taha Kemara, James OÇonnor, Macca Springer, Quinten Strange. At least half a dozen who I really want resigned. Several who could be moved on for re-building purposes. We'll need to sign some of the rest, because we won't find better.
Finlay Brewis they maybe starting to wonder about with all his injuries.
Of those not listed as signed
Blackadder
Ennor
Might be the 2 who go overseas.
Kemera,Havilli,Kellow will re sign I think, the others depends on if they see overseas or another franchise as a better bet.I would hope we re sign
Kemera,Havilli,Kellow,Grace,Springer,Bell at least.
Blackadder and Ennor may still stay. -
@Chris I think Strange and Drummie can and will move on, probably Levi Aumua as well - might depend on Ennor (we looked the best we have all season when he played centre).
I really hope we can re-sign all of Havili, Blackadder and Ennor. I also think they'll sign Kemara, Kellow, Grace, Springer and Bell. I don't think we'll pick up anyone better than these guys.

Springer,
I think signing Jonah Lowe would be a more beneficial option.

Blackadder
Ennor
Might be the 2 who go overseas.I can't imagine the market rate is that high for either of them. The injury history is a huge red flag
Both have offers Ennor in France and Blackadder in Japan.

@Chris any word on Toby Bell, seems to have dropped off the radar.
He is still in the Crusaders WTG but has had a lot of injuries over the last 2 seasons.
-
Bad news.
Crusaders first five-eighth Taha Kemara has been ruled out of the remainder of the Super Rugby Pacific season because of a serious knee injury. He ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) against the Highlanders in Dunedin last weekend and will undergo surgery. "We are obviously hurting for Taha and his family, but he is a young man with an incredible drive and work ethic,’’ Crusaders coach Rob Penney said. It is anticipated Kemara will return to play near the beginning of the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season.

Kemara ruled out for the season.

George BellOne to watch here, an important decision for Bell if he wants to continue to be in the running for AB honours… Moananu isn’t going anywhere by the looks of things and Letiu and Oudenryn are about to be hot on his tail… not sure if continuing to sit behind Taylor is the right call at this stage, he should be looking to start if he wants to try and get ahead of Aumua and Taukei'aho in the pecking order.

It would not surprise me if he moves,I know the Crusaders are keen on the 2 u/20 hookers but something has to give 5 hookers doesn't fit.
Moananu locked in for 2026 and Taylor until 2027. -
Who would be the 15 hookers that need to be part of Super set ups next year?
Blues and Landers a bit short in terms of the top guys. The three new lads have plenty of promise. Will one of the young U20s Crusaders lads need to go to the Blues?
The top bunch are:
- Taylor
- Aumua
- Taukei'aho
- Bell
- McAlister
- Moananu
Older guys capable
- Eklund?
- Henry Bell (will only be 26 next year though)
- Devery
- Bradley Slater
The younger guys with experience
- Mullan
- Vikena
- Taylor
- Tuputupu
Players due Super spots
- Bason
- Letu
- Oudenryn
