If they want to get serious about winning more close games, I think they have to give goal kicking duties to someone else. Metcalf is super sketchy, Tuapiki did a better job when he kicked, albeit with a small sample size

Yeah, I was nervous even when he had that straight on penalty kick. 🙂

He missed one about 10m off centre didn't he? That goal and another conversion or two and we aren't all white knuckle until the end

Yep, and that game a few weeks back where we relied on him to get one where he was missing all day.

I'll admit, Metcalf has been much better at 7 than I thought he would be, but yeah goal kicking isn't his jam.

The important thing is Tigers are in the top eight and Panthers are dead last. Looks like Luai was a good buy.

Starting to get a bit of luck go their way in games too for once which helps.

With or without Galvin, they really are starting to build something special I feel, despite the media's best attempts to continuously drag them down.

    The Broncos are absolute frauds

And if the Panthers make the 8 no one will want to play them

Probably worth a bet if the odds were any good, they’re good enough if they can keep all their key players fit.

Looks like all teams hit the wall at some stage this year, give Broncos benefit of the doubt after that Bulldogs effort in the previous week.

No team looks unbeatable this year but all can look that way within a game.. tipping nightmare

Yeah, we'll get a better idea of how the competition is shaping up after about round 20 I feel.

Origin could also determine a lot of side fortunes.

    Bit of player movement around

The Cheese is apparently off to Souths immediately. Which is weird considering he is at least 6 weeks from being able to play.

Dom Young has been told he's free to leave the Roosters. This is no surprise as he's been a bit of a disaster at Easts. Wouldn't be a bad pick up if you got the right deal, but the Roosters are paying him a heap.

And it appears, not that long after they managed to keep him, the Titans are open to David Fifita leaving the club. Like Dom Young he's currently in reserve grade. Now, if the Titans were to pick up a bit of his salary, Fifita is one guy i wouldn't mind the Warriors having a real play at. Even at 80% he has more talent than any backrow, especially edge, forward we have. If you can get his head right he's one of the most destructive edge players in the game, a sight all too rarely seen over the past few years. $600k a year over a couple of years is worth the punt.

Mamo's injury was worse than expected so Souths needed a Hooker urgently and if Wayne can get Cheese's head in the game then a good buy for them.

Dom Young is a defensive nightmare but if you were buying him, you would be buying him for attack not defence. Looks like he may end up back at Newcastle

As for Davey, surely any decent coach thinks they could be the one to get him to pull his head in? From memory he is a bit of a package deal with his girl friend, but potential for someone. Not sure if the Warriors though, not sure if he would leave Australia? Maybe Erin could put in a good word?

Who knows where he will end up, previous deals mooted with Roosters, then Raiders deal fell through, linked with Broncos a couple of times..

i very much doubt Davey is swapping the GC for South Auckland, but we would be derelict in our duties if we didn't at least make a play.

I reckon the Eels will have a real go.

I reckon either the Broncos or a Sydney team will sign Fifita.

Young probably back to the Knights and Cheese to Souffs.

Souths should make a play for Young too, with the lack of wingers they have.

Knights were up 20-0 against the Titans after 30 minutes.

Knights have since shat the bed, making a shit tonne of mistakes, the score now 20-18 with 12 to play.

Titans score a cracking try in the 78th minute to steal the win 24-20.

    Hell of a comeback!

Isaiya Katoa is one classy halfback watching the Dolphins last night.

Already think he's the best ball playing half in the NRL.

Katoa straightens attack better than most already. Similar to Cooper Cronk and Souths version of Adam Reynolds.

Jesus just watched that Souths Brisbane game. 1, how on earth did Souths win that, 2, despite the injury, Ben Hunt stunts Brisbane's attack and Madge needs to put him at 9, and 3, where did that Latrell field goal come from! And a nice cheeky try to end it too.

Three very ordinary games of footy to start the weekend were only saved my latrell Mitchell. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, there is no more entertaining guy in the league to watch than latrell. He'll do stupid, ridiculous things, and then all of a sudden he'll hit the best field goal you will ever see. And then he'll top it off with the cheekiest/biggest dog act try you'll ever see.

Brisbane's attack is shit because T-Baz is a shit coach, and neither of their halves are a running threat. Throw in too many touches for carrigan at bad times (the new Paul gallen in that respect) and they offered fuck all last night. Frauds going nowhere.

The Hunt injury will prove the perfect excuse for Mam to play next week. Be interesting to see how he handles a very hostile crowd.
