    If Bon Scott hadn't removed himself with drink and drugs we probably wouldn't have known Brian Johnson

    Why is it only today that I have learned of this fluffybunny:

    Francisco Macías Nguema - Wikipedia

    Francisco Macías Nguema - Wikipedia

    Stumbled on to a podcast called "Real Dictators". This ... err ... example shows up.

    Apparently Macias existed within my awareness of international news growing up in the 70s and 80s, but for some reason didn't feature in news reports that made my consciousness...

    Seems his successor/nephew Obiang remains El Presidente since he took over in 1982, and according to said podcast is the longest serving President if any Country in the world (Wiki says 2nd longest, but that nay be semantics arounp "pres", "head of state", "leader", etc). Regardless, seems he must be universally loved by the populace...

    @taniwharugby

    Good find

    Actually gruntled, whilst a word, is a relatively new one.

    It was first used in the 1930's by P G Wodehouse of Jeeves and Wooster fame, as a deliberately humorous antonym of disgruntled. The original "gruntle" is a 16th century archaism meaning to grumble.

    Similar in its creation to underwhelmed which has only been around since the 60's whereas both whelmed and overwhelmed have been in use for centuries.

    https://www.merriam-webster.com/wordplay/kempt-couth-ruly-gruntled#:~:text=Word Facts&text=Disgruntle%2C which dates to the,nothing about the original gruntle.
