Sensational performance from Ardie. And let's not forget his captaincy and leadership.

Be interesting to see if Robertson sees him as his 7.

@Tim a change of head coach as well there style is boring as bat shit worked last year when the Aussie teams and Canterbury were weak but he needed to come up with a new trick
Being at the game MP were far more creative

@African-Monkey Why they didn't use Sotutu and Clarke off that scrum ...

Blues almost gone now you’d think with the Bye next week.

MP have the Chiefs and Canes. I don't think they will win either game so the Blues probably just have to beat the Tahs at home and they are through.

Well he’s a moron if he doesn’t see him as a 7 after that.

He's the form openside running around NZ. Razor would have to be brain damaged not to play him there on this form.

I wouldn’t count them out after that performance. Moana will also be keen to beat every NZ team this year so they will be up for it.

Ardie - wow!! His decision to play for MP has been a shot in the arm for SR.

The Chiefs are going to have to be 100% on next Sat night.

@antipodean But is he is as good on "both sides of the ball" as Ethan Blackadder? 😉

Yeah thought it was strange not seeing Sotutu not going from the base as well, but as was pointed out, to then head back into the Moana traffic was also not the smartest idea.

A nice change these Moana threads after years of 'what's the point of this team' being branded around in the first 3 seasons.

Don't care where Ardie plays, he would of preformed exactly the same at 6 or 8. That was just a gobsmacking performance by him. Dragged whole team up with him.

Yeah good on him, it was a hard pill to swallow seeing him go elsewhere but I’m glad it was Moana. He’s been amazing for them.

You're a little bit obsessed aren't you? Also, the opposition wasn't exactly test-quality...

The reason before was he'd played almost exclusively at 8. Get that, but that's changed.

@Canerbry Obsessed with the All Blacks picking the best players available so they can be the best side in the world and so we don't see Saffa, Oz, England or France win World Cups. 100% guilty as charged.

I suppose when you have to read Richard Knowler harp on about Grace and Blackadder being in the picture then I think it gives us all outside of Chch every reason to worry.

We want the ABs to be the best team with the best players. I’m sick of players getting in that don’t deserve to be there or that have shown no form.

Blackadder hasn’t even been on the park, so shouldn’t be in the ABs. He can go and earn it in the NPC.

lol Ardie only scoring 54 points in Fantasy is diabolical. That was easily a 100 point performance.

But anyway, apart from Crusaders fans trying to steal the limelight like they always do, this is Moana's moment.

How far can Ardie take this team? Assuming they make the finals, which they should. The scoreline was close, but it was a near shutout where Moana dominated most of the play. They looked very organized in defence and dominated most of the collision against a big Blues pack.

I can't remember anyone saying at the start of the season that Moana Pasifika had a good shot at making the playoffs this year.

Hats off to Tana Umaga, Ardie Savea and their squad.

Yep Tom Coventry too as forwards coach. He had a point to prove after leaving the Blues and has done a solid job with virtually the same Moana players that he got given at the start of the season, with a wee boost from a certain player.
