@Kruse yeah I also thought there isn't enough pointing to her (or some others) knowing some of what had happened, although as he knows Maeve is an evil bitch, other rat acts come into play...
Harry's play at the end shows he has an end game too.

Fuck - I need to go re-watch it... might as well do it right now while sober. Work can wait...
Oh yes - that's right. That dinner-table scene was worth a re-watch too.

Mobland - all in all, solid series.
Be interesting to see how they tidy it up (unsure if it wil be set up for another series)
Nice little cameo for Toby Jones too, always quality.
Regarding Maeve, makes it too easy to try and point her as the rat, although I think she craves the power, so if she is, there is a bigger plan. Also wouldnt put it past Conrad to be pulling the strings given how unhinged he seemed in his interactions with Richie & Jaime, with no fear of potential consequences.Given the fact we assume Eddie was just told he is Conrads son (which seemed clear a few eps back) I do find it odd how much Maeve seems invested in him, or maybe just a ruse as she using him to create chaos toward whatever her end goal is, particuarly given how she doesnt want anything to do with Seraphina who is also not biologically hers.
Too much to tie up in one episode
I hope it goes to Season 2. Best thing out there at the moment.
It's a another woman not Maeve who's the ratYeah - lot of stuff happening... was confused by Taniwha's post - then realised: A - it was still running; and B - I hadn't watched latest episode yet.
Problem/bonus of watching this sort of stuff under-the-influence - I often have to re-watch entire episodes to remind myself of what I've already seen. Really need to get my shit together.
Anyway - agreed with SnowyMike:They seem to be suggesting that blonde lawyer bint is the rat. Although the logic of Harry coming to that conclusion - just because she says she thinks getting into Fentanyl is a bad idea - doesn't make much sense, when it was exactly the same rationale for Conrad suspecting Archie, and Harry didn't buy that?Oh - and re the psychopath being Conrad's kid - I didn't click to that. The mention of "your OTHER brother" - "you bitch" - had me confused. Really couldn't figure it out - until Taniwha's post made it click, then I saw Conrad take him for a chat. Dumb Kruse.
And indeed - Maeve's total acceptance of him but hatred of Seraphina - doesn't track.Harry was told who the rat is before he chucked the guy off the car park roof
-
@MiketheSnow I think he already knew, but is also why he did it....Freddie was a liability, talked too much and easily, and if Conrad found out Harry knew all along and hadnt told him.

Ah yes - of course.

Fuck I'm a dummy when I'm watching this stuff after several hours of beer+sunshine.
BTW - when he was talking to Freddie - and mentioned "me and <somebody? the cuckolded son?> are going to take it all over..." - was he actually telling the truth? Or just giving him an incentive to talk? Or both? -
@taniwharugby Yeah - I assumed it was a ruse. But now I'm wondering if it was a lie with a kernel of truth.

Kruse assumed a ruse

So annoyed with the last of us. Fantastic visuals, great set pieces but by fuck what an absolute terrible character Ellie is. Infinitely unlikeable and I genuinely can't tell whether the actress is awful or just the character, actually pretty sure its both. Last episode from our household, rest of the writing also fell away this season too. Massive shame.
Liking mobland, place it as 'goodish' not 'great'. Another issue where characters (aside from Harry) are generally unlikeable. How did sopranos make so many bad characters likeable? Anyway fingers crossed for s2

@Rembrandt just hoping Mobland doesn't lose it's head up it's own arse like Gangs of London....which I fear is already happening off the last couple of episodes.
Definitely has the potential to go full cartoon
Fingers crossed it doesn't

For me - the introduction of the Kat character - was the first inkling of it going cartoon-ish.
Not that I mind cartoon-ish... it was just nice to have something a little more serious for a while. -
The Bondsman
Light fantasy/horror where Kevin Bacon gets murdered and recruited by the devil to capture demons trying to escape hell.
Decent enough and easy to watch 30 min eps.

I'm working my way through my catch-up of the Apple TV+ shows. After Slow Horses, it was Foundation and I finished S2 of Severance last night. That show is so good. Next up, I will be getting back into For All Mankind.
I'm wondering where the hell the new season of For All Mankind has got to. It was supposed to be out late last year.
I checked out of Foundation in S2, might have to give it a another go.

Sirens is a pretty good watch.
The other half suggested it and it’s pretty entertaining.
I’ve proved I have the attention span to watch a show where the main characters are all women.
Kevin Bacon and the Hispanic dude are good fun too
Mrs Antipodean enjoyed it and said I would too, so I'm putting it on my list.

I think the level of violence has already jumped the shark. Instead of a crime drama with escalating mental tension, which is a pity given the undoubted talents of the cast.
