Think Rob Penney will be sweating on some of the timings of these subs. Blackadder off at half means you’ve had two 7’s out there for 40mins in Kellow and Christie. Bell on early for Taylor in an arm wrestle while you have 2 very green props on the bench…

Might all come back to haunt him here

Always put the game away before you roll the subs

Absolutely. Especially against a Brumbies forward pack littered with Wallabies

Neither of whom have had much of an impact. You need big bodies to bully Australian forward packs.

Put in 2-3 consecutive big tackles there too.

Brumbies reserve front row aren't exactly world beaters to be fair.

Crusaders can't afford to go into the play-offs shanked, and some of these guys have played some big minutes lately.

Brumbies the best in the comp when the ball hits the deck.

Is Tamaiti Williams the most important player in the Crusaders side? Imagine if he got injured.

Valetini on the charge is a sight to see.

You would rather sacrifice a top 2 finish?

Hedging their bets, I suppose. I'm sure Penney isn't thinking it's one or the other.
