iCloud or other cloud based Storage

I had (up until a couple of mins ago) 5gb storage which was fine for my phone capcity even though it was right on the limit.

As I am upgrading my phone, I decided to go to 50gb for $1.49 a month or $18/year. That seems reasonable but I don't really have anything to compare it to.

Do you lot pay for storage of phone and tablet data?

Google environment gives you 15Gb BUT that includes all your google stuff like gmail, drive etc.

If you're an iPhone user, its probably best to stick with iCloud - makes restoring things easier. At those rates its fairly good value.

Given most of your music is in iTunes, you're really only storing photos n shit, right?

Get that 50gb for icloud, that's useful for your backups, etc.

Then setup something like google photos to backup your photos automatically. That's most of your data, and if you stream music with Spotify or Apple Music then that takes care of the other old thing that used to fill up your phone.

Yeah, that's what I have gone for. I am assuming you have the same amount? What is the capacity available on yours now you've had it a few months?

No, I have 200GB, but I do stuff you don't need to worry about. On the phone, have used 92.79GB of 128GB.

I have a strict rule, everything I put online I'd be happy with anybody reading or seeing. Follow that, you don't need to worry about being hacked.

Information that needs to be secured, like passwords, etc, I do it properly.
