Some of Bangladesh's shot selection has been very poor.

@Chris-B. how many catches has the whole team shelled this series?

No idea - but, lots - well into double figures I'd think. They dropped four in a session in the first test.

It's been really substandard - far from being the best fielding team in the world, more like one of the worst - though the Bangles have been even worse.

Fuck off with your truthin M4L. ...

    ( even though you're right )

Southee joins our greatest ever, everyone's favourite spinner, an alleged cheat and test crickets worst ever batsman.

Southee is also the second fastest to 200 test wickets after Hadlee.

Bangles starting to crumble - essentially 27/4. Last specialist batsmen at the crease.

Be surprised if we ended having to chase much more than 100. Could be even over before the end of play today

Yeah, I think they've definitely unearthed enough talent to be competitive, but they've got quite a long way to go on the mental side of things. The way they crumbled in the first test, and then allowed Kane etc to score at will to canter home was pretty poor.

To be fair - their batting has been pretty badly affected by injury - even in that second innings they essentially had two of their best batsmen incapacitated.

Missing Mushfiqur, Mominal and Kayes in this test.

Some way still to go - but, we should be hammering them in this test playing a weakened team, at home and having won the toss.

The BCs have lost an entire day let's not forget that and to be honest the Bangies are doing better than expected this test....

35/5 now. How's the weather looking for tomorrow?

35/6 now and tomorrow's weather starting to look like a non-issue.

Edit: Looks like it will be fine in any case.

Raval drops YET ANOTHER in the slips - another straightforward one.

Why is he still fielding there? Surely there's better options.

Ian Smith is barking about that being the 10th dropped behind the wicket. Not sure whether that's just us, just this match, or what.

A quick search through the commentary and we've dropped at least five (all in the slips) in this match - Raval has dropped three and Southee and Taylor one each.

Channel Nine commentators would be insufferable if we'd fielded this poorly against Oz.

And a similar quick look through the Cricinfo commentary for the first test, I think we dropped six in that game: Latham (2), Taylor, Santner, Southee and Boult.

The Bangies have shown an ability to collapse that even the BCs teams of yesteryear would be shocked at. Fingers crossed
