281 is still about 20 short of par I think. At least it isn't the 50 runs short I was fearing we would end up with.

Bowl well and we might be a chance. Sodhi might have been good here.

30 short thanks to our appalling middle order. Can we fuck Munro off for good now?

The key is after we have rooted the Aussie top order at 60/6 that we fucken finish them off before Neesh bowls to Stoinis

I give us about a 45% chance to defend this. Australia have picked a worse batting line up and most of them are hitters. They need someone to get a score a build the innings around.

Yeah - the Aussies have definitely used up their stronger suit, but probably so have we.

As per the first game, the only way we win this is to bowl the Aussies out, but that is definitely possible with this line-up.

It's 50-50 in the sense that anything could happen.

We do at least have a target to bowl at.

p.s. Good finishing work by Santner, though I thought Stoinis saved that six. Couldn't see where they got him touching the rope.

They've got some interesting decisions to make now.

Talk seems to be that Ronchi will be brought back. Question then is whether they pick Brownlie or Latham to open. Could go with...

Guptill, Brownlie, Williamson, Taylor, Broom, Neesham, Ronchi, Santner, Southee, Boult, Ferguson

I think Ronchi is more likely to come off at 7 than Munro or CdGh.

I'd like to see Milne and McClenaghan back in the mix.

They normally like to have an extra bowling option. Latham is only a keeping option until the Champions Trophy. Apparently they are keen on him so they can pick another all rounder. After that, they intend to blood a young keeper like Blundell. I think Ronchi will be in the squad but they won't pick him. Hopefully, Anderson is back and bowling by that stage.

Ferguson is definitely just a place holder at this stage unless he demands selection.

What's up with Maxwell? He has a big wrap but I don't think I've ever seen him score any decent runs. He barely seems to bowl now either.

    What am I missing?

120/4 now, Big Show reviews a caught behind but Snicko shows a faint edge. She's all on.

Fingers crossed we get a howler in our favour now to really rub salt in the wound.

At his best, he is the most destructive batsman in the world IMO. Wouldn't make the top Aussie side at the moment but still a good player.

These two are bowling well and are keeping the runs down, but I wonder if we should get Boult or Southee back to try and take a wicket while the pressure is on. As well as Williamson is bowling, we are perhaps just letting Stoinos get established at the crease.
