ESPN currently calculate the odds of the Warriors winning the title at 75%

Hard to see that being inaccurate.

Opened the wrong thread and assumed you were just being sarcastic.

@mariner4life GSW were heavy favourites to win last year too and that went well. There are no guarantees in sport.

@Bovidae that's why it's not 100%. And last year they didn't have a dude named Durant.

You can't underestimate the loss of their best allround player and energy guy being suspended. Momentum in a series is everything.

The Warriors look like world beaters right now when compared to the other "contenders". But I think they have a number of things to fine tune before April. They are trying out a number of different combinations to fill that 5th spot to close out a game. Is it ZaZa, Javale, AI, Livingston? Defensively Durrant has been a big surprise.

Hahaha amazing. How things can change in two months.

Everything else there was fair enough, with the exception of the Bulls/Knicks being decent. The self-destruction of both team has been brilliant to watch.

Maybe this year Durant will choke in the 4th Q for the Warriors? 😆

Great atmosphere, playoff like. But Thunder never really in the game. Warriors defence too good and then the multiple scoring options just way to much.

I love how we talk about defense in the NBA, but the losing team still stuck up 114 points.

Durant with 34 points and 9 rebounds to remind the crowd why they are so pissed with him

Spurs drop a game to the fucking Knicks

IMO causing a high number of turnovers, deflections etc is good D in the NBA.

All teams, even the Nets and Philly, can have good stretches throughout a game scoring points. That's what OKC did, but the damage had been done when it was far too big a margin to get back.

The Nuggets hit an NBA regular season record 24 3-pt shots in thrashing the Warriors by 22.

OKC also got blown out by 22 pts.

All eyes on team dynamics on Monday. How the hell are KD and Russ going to occupy the same court on the same team? I think Kerr will try to play them one on one off.

    Im picking KD for MVP.

All Star Game comes and goes - New Orleans star Anthony Davis breaks the individual record for most points (52 ~ Wilt held it with 42), wins MVP and then the real news happens:

Kings send Cousins to Pelicans in 5-player trade

The Kings traded DeMarcus Cousins to the Pelicans in exchange for a package highlighted by Buddy Hield, a 2017 first-round pick and a 2017 second-rounder, the teams announced Monday.

@Sneakdefreak big move by NO. Quite risky without a sign and trade, Boogie could take his talents elsewhere pretty quick

They've got him for a steal though. Buddy Hield is a nice player but the jury is still out if he can be a real star.

Now they've got two genuine All Stars. It's worked out well for them I reckon.

I think Boogie will go to Boston in the off-season. At least Boston is probably thinking that since they appeared to pull out of the race to acquire him on Sunday when they had the stronger offer.
However, if New Orleans can get something going in the playoffs (Conference Finals etc), then Boogie will stay.
