Guptill doesn't look 100% with the hamstrings as he's fielding at 3rd man.

This little spell is costing us the game. Some pretty average bowling and fielding on display.

@Damo Yeah - the wheels came off badly.

100 off the last 8 overs and what was looking like 240 becomes 280.

That looks a fair way above par to me.

We'll know after 10 overs if this will be another early finish.

optimistic ... whe we are 3/2 after 10 balls maybe better.

Our top order batting doesn't look ominous at all for the Test series...

Let's please try Guppy at 5 in the tests. He can't open but he's clearly too good to be discarded from tests entirely.

Guppy, "My hamstring's sore, I'm rusty and the pitch is tricky...ah fuck it, I'll smack a quick 50".

Thank goodness for drs. Pretty average decision from umpire considering it was both too high and missing leg.

    Guppy's 73* off 60 has covered AB's 72 off 59. Bonus territory now.

Just need a few others to come to the party and cover especially Faf and Amla.

Guppy's getting bored so he engages in a quick game of skittles with Morris and Parnell! 🙂

I know Guptil's test record isn't world beating... but if he misses out to Henry Fucking Nicholls the selectors should be shot.

Guppy probably hasn't scored enough runs to get back into the team. I wonder if the coaches have told him what he needs to do?

Superb hundred, while the others have scored 50 between them.

Ian Smith's on the pick Guppy down the order team and I'm on the bandwagon too. Surely a fucking hypnotist can convince him to see red as white?

    From cricinfo earlier today...

Consider this: in the last two years, since the start of the 2015 World Cup, Guptill is one of only two batsmen to have scored more than 2000 ODI runs. The other is David Warner. Like Warner, Guptill's runs have come at better than a run-a-ball - albeit by a fraction. In that time, he has also scored the most centuries by a New Zealand batsman: six, to Taylor's five (Williamson has two).

Fuck he is some player in ODIs and T20s. Absolutely world class. It's a shame we've been so light on openers in the past or I'd say he would have solidified the number 5 spot by now ala Astle.
