Did the Rebels recruit that scrumhalf from the 90s?

IMHO JB has to be 12. He doesn't have supersonic Beauden speed but he has a brilliant pass and offload.

Having said that, how do you leave out Laumape who has just scored?

Liked Laumape's work last season with ball in hand - wasn't so sold on his D - but he has looked good in both starts this season

I wouldn't be sad if that backline started for our national team.

Awesome effort, savea looks in prime shape.

3 from smith Dagg NMS and savea is a nice headache for Hansen.

Laumape looks a lot better than 2016 version.

Get ricatelli into that AB squad. Always impresses.

Some awesome tries and great to see NMS back. Will be nice to have him in the mix come Lions time. Also very happy with Savea so far this season. Next week should be a cracker.

You have to ask yourself if these teams are in the same competition.

    Posted in wrong thread.

The rebels are rubbish so hard to say too much ...

However, this Canes team looks exceptionally well coached. Every player seems to have a clear idea of the game plan and their role in it. In particular dirt is great to all the Backs pass in front of the man running onto the ball.

Would suggest that Rebels Coach Tony McGahan is about to "get the full backing of the board" if these results continue.

And with the Chiefs next, there is every chance they will. At least they'll have the Tahs to face in a couple of weeks.

As for the Canes - someone posted a stat that the first two rounds of last year weren't as fluffy as this. So its a question of consistency from there.

NZ teams were already well ahead of the pack last year.

Add in squad and coaching personnel consistency, plus a big push from players as they strive to push their claims for the Lions tour; and what was a gap is now a yawning chasm.

What? A pro team beating on a special school's first XV?

The last two weeks are a disgraceful look for the competition.
