was pissed off when they bailed from Big Day Out this year at the last minute. Really wanted to see them live.

This video is better, mainly because of the 'hot mom' in it <img src='http://www.daimenhutchison.com/invision/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> (skip 3 mins in if you're feeling lazy)
got a copy of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds self titled album. I've really got quite into it, has a lot of the good sound of Oasis coming out in it. (some songs were actually Oasis demos previously, strangely enough)

They'll be playing at Big Day Out next year.
I guess it's been months since anybody listened to anything...?
During the RWC I started listening heavily to a 10-cd boxset from a few years ago "Autumn Thunder," a 40-year retrospective of original music composed for NFL Films... Now deep into the playoff season, I'm back listening to it again. You have to hand it to them, that league knows how to commercialize and mythologize itself. Some of the tunes are derivative from film soundtrack composers of the era, especially the Sam Spence material from the 60s & 70s, but I've heard a lot of metal musicians citing these NFL composers over the years. It's guy-music, for guys who like sports and action movies and collisions and blood.
"Heroes of War" by David Robidoux:
...And here's how that same song "looks" when the NFL slaps it on footage of their Player of the Decade (1970s):
Listening to the 'SuperHeavy" collaboration between Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, A. R. Rahman, and Damian Marley. Quite a diverse album as you would expect with such a lineup, but it is the songs that use a bit of everyone that really shine. I wouldn't normally listen to any of these artists individually but I read an article about this that got me interested to see what it was like.
This is the single they have released
