me neither, but that looked very OK to me, he came through the middle and then sacked the maul. He didn't even tackle him like grab the legs or anything, he just fell on him and the Cheetahs player was too weak and collapsed.

think that was a fair call by the ref, not enough in it to warrant anything else

I can't disagree, mauls shouldn't be allowed immediately following line outs. that could be a rule.There's almost no legal way to defend unless the attackers f&%k up.

I've only just got to work and tuned in but managed to catch the first half highlights. That maul try showed why Akira needs to learn a bit yet before fronting up for the ABs. Watch his legs while trying to defend the maul. He never gets set strongly and is only using his upper body to put weight in. You have huge thighs man, use them.
