Barbarian increases his lead to 35 points as he was best of the round - surely his to lose now? Winger is 8 clear in 2nd and then there are just 17 points covering 3rd to 17th. Barbarian, Phooey, Crucial and Antipodean all picked 7/8 results - although Crucial somehow managed a moderate score.

An easy week to tip for most people with a majority getting 8/8 - although the 4 who picked the Cheetahs can feel pretty aggrieved with the ending of that game. It all came down to the margins in the end and Hydro11 got 6 correct to top all scorers with 70 points. He's making a move to defend his title, surging up to 3rd place. Barbarian had another solid week and with a lead of 36 points, it is looking like his title to lose. Winger is in 2nd (2015 champion) and Langakali in 5th (2014 champion) so all 3 previous winners are in contention. We won't go as far back as 2013 as Hooroo won that year and he is nowhere this time.
The bottom 2 teams scored rare wins, Blues A with only their 2nd win and able to ignore Virgil's shocker such that 57 was their lowest counting score - Tim's 64 the best of the bunch. The South Island also won just their 3rd game, Phooey with 64 so that Smudge's poor effort could be absorbed. Top scorers were Canes Black who bounced into the top 4 with 4 scores of 60 and higher. The Barbarians won again and are level at the top with Blues B, both teams needing probably just one more win to the safe in the play-offs. The SunJags were playing a man down with Mikedogz failing to show.

Just a quick unofficial update in the absence of KP after the Rebels v Reds game.
Quite a few tippers are sitting on maximum 40s with Victor, Justin77, TaniwhaRugby, Gunner, Donsteppa, KiwiPie, Hyrdo11, Antipodean and, not unexpectedly, Barbarian all yet to blot their copybooks. JK, Antipodean and Smudge all within a successful penalty kick behind on 37pts.The Teams Competition progress looks like the following

Canes Gold 30 - 30 SunJagsLooks like no one will get the lowest score pick thanks to the Brumbies miserable six points whilst about 70 percent are sitting pretty with the Blues as their highest score picks. The picks for the overnight games heavily favour one team in each match so it looks like it will come down to how accurate the various margin selections are!

Approaching fulltime and with just the Jaguares v Force encounter to come Smudge must have heard some sort of whisper and rockets into the lead after his interesting Kings win selection proved inspired and his 57pts now leads the pack. Another Kings tipper Unite sneaks into second on 51 points whilst the previous frontrunners Victor, Gunner, Donsteppa, KiwiPie, Hydro11 now head the chasing peleton on 50pts. Next best seem to be TaniwhaRugby (49), Justin77 (47), Mikedogz (47), Phooey (46), KiwiPie (45), Cactus Jack and Crucial both on 44. The rest of us must put this week behind us and train hard as we attempt to rectify our weaknesses in order to be more competitive for week 12
