Didn't Norton get cut becasue he's an insufferable dick to work with who made the Hulk film hard? (not to mention it was shit).

I dunno, but I liked that Hulk film, and I liked Norton in it. Having said that, I only saw it once, in it's first week of release, but I stand 50% behind that first impression.

Not really the same thing but it annoys me when one actor plays 2 comic book characters. Ryan Reynolds in DCs lantern and the Deadpool for marvel just ruined it for me.<br /> -

Didnt Tim Roth also play the Hulk? Thought I saw that in a doco about him. In that case it would make 4 Hulks. Have only seen the first film which was utter shart.<br />

Speaking of Marvel Superheroes they really have a wealth of material to build on. My son was recently given some dvds and one of the animated films (with Superman, Batman, The Flash, Wonderwoman etc) would make an amazing live action film. And speaking of Superman they should get someone who actually looks like the Superman in the cartoons, i.e. a farking big unit that kicks årse not some skinny prettyboy. -

Those properties are all DC, not Marvel. "Justice League of America." After Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy is completed, they'll roll out a Superman re-boot next year ("Man of Steel" by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, etc.) after the 2006 re-boot by Bryan Singer stiffed at the b.o.). There have been rumours of Flash and Wonder Women movies as well, but aside from Batman, a lot of DC projects have been failures, the recent Green Lantern (which I didn't see) apparently being one of them. A "JLA" movie down the road seems inevitable.<br />

Part of this is a rights issue. Sony has the movie rights to Spiderman as long as they keep making movies - when they stop the rights revert back to Marvel which is now owned by Disney. Sony isn't about to let that happen until they have milked every last drop of movie money they can from the franchise.<br />

I understand that there is something similar with Batman although I'm not sure of the parties involved. I did hear one rumour that once the [i]Dark Knight Rises [/i]was done that production would start up on a Batman TV series. The success of [i]The Avengers [/i]must also have shortened the odds of a Justice League movie.<br />

I have always been of the opinion that the only Superman story worth telling is an origin story. Once you have Superman in full control of his powers, you become reliant on Kryptonite (too gimicky and not very visual) or aliens (OK, but no different from a thousand other comic books) to generate any feeling of suspense or drama. That or kill Lois Lane. <br />

On a related note - I wonder how long until WB announces a Harry Potter TV series to ensure that they retain the rights? Billed as a faithful adaption of the books with additional side-stories and a book a season it would seem to be a no-brainer for 2015.<br />

A JLA movie would be enormous and theres too much money in it not to become a reality. Like I said they have no lack of material to build on either.<br />

I'm not surprised the Green Lantern didnt do that well even with such an enormous film and marketing budget. Compared to the other SHs Green Latern is incredibly gåy. I mean what kind of superhero is called the Green Lantern? It also doesnt help that a mediocre sitcom star like Ryan Renolds was playing him.<br />

Would also be cool if they considered a reboot of the Phantom. With a proper and less campy script, lead actor and suit it could be a real success. -
Project X: thought it was ok, nothing special, some very funny moments but largely average, and filmed entirely in handy am style.

Spider-Man is a reboot and it's a shit one. Sony has decided to remake the origin story as its the only direction to go in.. Lame.<br />

After the Dark Knight trilogy the only place for Batman and Superman to go IMHO is into Miler's original Dark Knight scenario of Batman vs Superman where the 'man of steel' is some kind of vapid, amoral pawn who needs to be taken down a peg or two thousand. I don't expect this movie to be made. -
Transformers 3<br />

Was a huge Transformers fan as a kid and have been pretty appalled by the first 2 abominations. Number 3 was on cable and was stupid enough to watch it.<br />

While it was better than the first 2 it’s still a shit film, with shit acting and a shit plot. With such an awesome starting point and muchos coin it defies belief that Michael Bay can continue to serve up this dross. Yes great CGI and explosions but thats to be expected. Apparently they’ll continue to rape the life out of this franchise with a 4[sup]th[/sup] film. -
Act of Valor - apparently a group of active Navy Seals star in this movie about a based on true events of the war on terror.<br />

Suffice to say, some of the acting isnt too great, but I did think some of the covert and action scenes were pretty cool, the story itself is fairly Hollywood too, how close to the actual story, I dont know... -

Finally saw "The Adjustment Bureau" last week. Have to say, despite essentially just being a love story, i quite liked it. The ultimate in deus ex machina though.<br />

Anyway it was just something I noticed and found quite amusing -
Haven't seen Blade Runner in a couple of years but recall that Deckard eating noodles from a food van is supposed to exotic and weird.<br />

I also like that the guy who makes the replicants' eyes works out of an apartment in a bad part of town. <br />
<br />
The method of testing potential replicants is hilarious. Why bother with DNA testing when you strap someone into a chair and measure pupil dilation in response to a series of picture cards? <br />
<br />
Even with all the funny little details, after all who in 1981 would have thought that half the western world would be carrying a computer in their pocket more powerful than anything a contemporary consumer could buy, Blade Runner is a great flick. Certainly one of the all-time sci-fi greats.<br />
<br />
Looking forward to seeing what they come up with for the proposed sequel. In Prometheus, Scott seemed more interested in the synthetic human than the other characters so hopefully that means something compelling will come from it. -
