Nelson to lose 2018 test match

Have been hearing a rumour that the NZRU and SANZA were pretty concerned by the recent state of Trafalgar Park, and that the ground is unlikely to meet new conditions for quality.

Hasn't been decided yet where the game would be moved to.

@tim always thought it a bit odd it was given the game given NZRU wouldnt allow the 2005 Lions to open in Whangarei due to Okara Park's sub-standard facilities.

Bit embarrassing if it turns out to be true (more so for NZR than anyone else)

Had a few enjoyable aftermatch functions out there. Those 80/80 guys certainly adhere to the traditions expected of gentlemens rugby.

If that game was ever to be shifted, it would go to the Tauranga Domain - along with the two or three that are already going to be shifted from EdenPark.

I'd prefer it went elsewhere... you can't even get accomodation close to the ground or even get served a beer in Chch (according to @dogmeat and his imaginary friend) unless you're a gang member

Sorry Crusader cousins, but this would be deserved. The ground just isn't up to it and NZ Rugby were really pushing the boat out in awarding a test to Nelson.

To be fair it isn’t a good stadium. You need a good one. I’ve been to two games there and it just has that temporary feel about it.
