@hydro11 youll happily vote for Cane who knocked on at the end I see.

Knock ons happen. SBW chose a terrible option. I can get over mistakes - dumb passes, kicks and penalties are tougher to deal with.

Cane made a poor decision at the end as well. He didn’t just knock it on. He should’ve let TJ be the halfback. Cane had a rush of blood also.

You are probably right but I don't think doing a pick and go is that bad in the grand scheme of things. I'm pretty much against kicking in the other teams 22 in most circumstances.

Whitelock, Cane, Williams. That's fucken hard to do after that grubber, the knock on I'd be more likely to blame Perenara.

Hee hee, my takeaway from this thread is that no one should be MOTM.

Clearly it can't be SBW because he did a chip kick and just cos he's SBW.
Clearly it can't be Cane because he turned over that last ball.
Clearly it can't be Read because he gave away a couple of stupid penalties.

As those 3 were better then everyone else over 80 minutes we might as well cancel the vote this week.

Although TBF, if the ball was passed to Ioane in space one more time in the game then he probably would have been the pick. TBH, after those 4 I think Whitelock and Naholo had solid games.

Was it a terrible option? He was chipping ahead for Ioane, who we would back for pace..
His offload leading to Ioane's try was high risk, but when it came off it was amazing..
If the grubber came off, people would be lauding SBW for his array of skills.

I went with SBW, Read and Cane.

@mimic in the space and traffic he had, was a very low % option, but agree, had it come off, it woulda been the right one, but it didnt and is now seen as a shit option.

You might, I wouldn't. I hated the praise Garden-Bachop got for his stupid chip kick the other week.

@hydro11 the fortuitous one off the cross bar? Was under penalty advantage so had nothing to lose I guess.

I guess you weren't a fan of Goldie who used to do it and seemed like he had the ball on a string.

SBW had a really good game, I gave him a MOTM vote and he didn't cost us the game, but the grubber in their 22 in the final minutes when we were only 2 points behind was an incredibly low percentage option. Very hard to justify.

Fair enough. Didn't actually realise that.

    Cane, Read, Williams

Everyone made mistakes at times, but those 3 did more than the rest to get us in a position we could win from.

that's a bit different. wilson was generally at full pace with one man in front of him when he did it - and if it wasn't on, he had no problem taking contact. as an option for wilson it was reasonably good percentage-wise, and he was very well-practised at it.
sbw's biggest flaw has always been trying too much on his own. trying low-percentage hero plays. despite a good game, he did it again.
