    Watched the 30 for 30 on Ric Flair....pretty sad really.

    I think it was Triple H that summed it, he is a bit of a cautionary tale for the younger guys.

    @taniwharugby

    Triple H is a company man and doesn’t shoot straight. Naitch is a cautionary tale for the older guys; the cautionary tale for the younger guys is the long registry of names of dead wrestlers deceased before they were 40. Trips doesn’t want to mention that, not without bringing the Wrath of Vincent K down on his candy-ass, if ya smell-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

    The worst 30-for-30 is the piece o’ crap they turned into Invictus. Believe me, you don’t want to see it.

    Me either. I'm waiting for the release with the alternative ending.

    The funniest thing about that film was when Chester Williams came back into the squad. He was testing his leg at training, the coaches look at each other and go "Chester's back!"

    Obviously the true story was that CW only got back into the squad because Peter Hendricks was banned for 2 games for kicking a Canadian in the head. Perhaps wise to leave that part out.

    “This is a Man you do not want to rile up!” Or get into a drinking competition with. You will lose.

    I finally saw HBO’s Andre documentary (piratebay, cough) and it’s as good as advertised.

    Was interested to learn he was a normal sized boy until the age of 15. He says he played soccer for 4 years starting at age 11, and then played two seasons of rugby, right at the growth spurt. He says it was playing rugby and training for rugby in the gym when he was “discovered.” Good grief, he could have been an entire forward pack all by himself!!

    @salacious-crumb yeah was pretty good.

    Interesting to hear them say that his body never really stopped growing and the pain he was in most of his life, despite that he still kept on doing what he loved.

    Sounds good. I saw the one on Chuck Wepner as well, the guy that inspired the Rocky films. Quite the character

    Article about the movie here

    My favorite part:

    Wepner's then-wife Phyllis (played by Elisabeth Moss) watched the fight from a nearby hotel room.

    Wepner gave Phyllis a powder-blue negligee beforehand, telling her she'd be spending the night with the heavyweight champion of the world.

    "I come back to the hotel and she’s sitting on the edge of the bed in the negligee. She says, “Am I going to Ali’s room or is he coming to mine?' " Wepner recalls. "She had a sense of humor."

    Not a doco and kind of about sport. (shit this isn't a good sell)

    Really rated Mollys game. True story Olympic Skier turned host of most exclusive home poker games in the world.

    Kareem: Minority of One

    A 2015 HBO documentary about the life and career of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Well worth watching if you are a fan of the NBA or Kareem.

    I watched The Short Game on Netflix. Made in 2013 it follows a bunch of kids competing in the World Junior Golf Champs at Pinehurst Country Club. More than a film about golf, it shows why golf is a metaphor for life. I watched it with the CF Jnrs and there were lots of teaching moments about not giving up, working hard, and reacting to life's bad beats the right way (and in some cases the wrong way). 5 child golf prodigies out of 5 angry caddie Dads

    I'm watching The Man in the Arena, ESPN. Multi-part doco about Tom Brady and the Patriots. Two episodes in and it's pretty interesting

    Breaking Point on Netflix.

    Might be the team from Drive to Survive give pro tennis similar treatment. Brilliant to watch. There is also a similar new doco series on golf which I plan to watch

    Full Swing now on Netflix on golf, and apparently they're doing one on the 6N Rugby as well.
