I've no idea what Cully is going on about in that article. I still get butterflies in my stomach before every All Black game and I'm not even taking the field.
Fark, yeah, I'm really excited by this one. Re-watching our loss in BrisVegas to warm up - we had a moderate team then; Great to see Dane Coles there, but Lima S at 10, and DMac at the back was a raw combo.
DMac can create magic, but is developing fast I reckon and learning to pick his moments. Good coaching helps that shit
Edit: also some of the forward's work gives me a chubby. They were just smashign some gold jerseys out there like bogans smashing woodies on a Friday night
i just had a think, and i can't for the life of me remember anything about our Rugby Championship games last year. I don't remember the results, scorers, anything.
> the first half in Sydney where we put 40 points on the Aussies .... it was incrediballs.
The demolition of SA in Albany - 57-0??
plenty there after the Lions
I was at that game and couldn't remember it until reading your post a second time and thinking about. Yet, I can probably remember every game I went to in the 90s.
i just watched the highlights, how pathetic was the Wallaby defense?
I remember that last try now, and still, a year on, don't understand how in the world that could be awarded.

@mariner4life that's amazing, love the guy (Hoiles?) getting make up.

Cully is a NZ-based Aussie so that has to be factored into the article.
Edit: I'll correct myself. NZ-born, raised in Northern Ireland but spent most of his working life in Australia.
A Wallaby win in Sydney would be the best outcome for the Bledisloe Cup and setup a must-win in Auckland. None of us Kiwis want that of course.
Que?

Forget the try, that behind the scenes footage was the sporting highlight of 2017.
You know Nick McArdle was saying âforward pass, forward passâ.....

Interesting test between the Argies and Boks.
Argies turn over the ball far too easily, but they know how to sniff a try.
Boks forwards were quite good and as usual attack the ball hard she it hits the deck. They have some speed in their backs, but they look a little suspect defensively. Pollard had a very up and down game. His passing was a bit skitterish and he had a shocker goal kicking.
-
@act-crusader Their lineout was suprisingly I thought, and Pollards goalkicking kept the Argies in it. Marx (around the field) and De Klerk were the Boks best I thought with Le Roux and Etzebeth also playing well.

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen admits Ryan Crotty concussion issues are a concern but says the midfield star has already been given the all-clear by a specialist after being knocked out in the first Bledisloe Test. The blow, which came when Crotty collided with teammate Jack Goodhue, is Crottyâs sixth concussion in 15 months. Hansen said the blow had left Crotty, who had already been ruled out of the second Test at Eden Park, with a loose tooth as well. âIt concerns us definitely, thatâs why heâs already seen a specialist and theyâve given him the all-clear,â Hansen said. âFrom our understanding, as long as you fully recover and donât go back when youâre not fully recovered then youâre okay.â Hansen said Crotty was âunluckyâ. âLast night was real freaky, friendly fire from Jack Goodhue, straight in the face and it would have knocked most of us out.â
Crotty admitted in June this year he may have to retire due to repeated concussions. "If I wasn't to bounce back from one as quickly as I tend to, then maybe you would think like that [retiring]," he said. "At the start of each season I get tested to make sure that I am round the same point each season. "If that was starting to trend badly then that would be something I would look at a little more deeply, but until then I am happy to keep going out there and keep putting my body on the line."

If Aso wasn't named in the Auckland squad due to injury, then it seems he also won't be fit for the ABs?
The All Blacks are seeking a medical update on Vince Aso as they eye the Hurricanes midfielder as cover for the injured Ryan Crotty. After Crotty was knocked out following a collision with teammate Jack Goodhue and with Sonny Bill Williams still out, Hansen said the All Blacks needed cover in midfield with only Goodhue, Anton Lienert-Brown and Ngani Laumape left standing. âLogically, we should probably start looking for a midfielder,â Hansen said in Sydney. âThe guy weâre pretty keen, (Vince) Aso, weâre trying to get a medical update on him, how his wrist is.â âHeâs got a wrist injury from Super Rugby which he broke it, didnât he?â
âI know heâs getting an operation so I just want to know where there that is before we make any decisions about whoâs next.â
-
I thought it was just the 1st and 2nd tests SBW was out for, and Laumape is already in as cover...?
I'd be going Thompson too!
-
@bovidae said in 2018 Rugby Championship:
Aso is a turnstile on defence in the midfield.
I'd be finding Thompson's phone number.
Yeah surprised by Aso even being in the picture. Laumape is already a bit of a worry on D.
Whereâs Tamanivalu? Given Reiko and Crotty are out then Setu would be a good âjust in caseâ for both.

@act-crusader Seta is in Taranaki.
