James Lowe's Leinster thrashing Brad and Lima's Wasps.

Sopoaga is a pretty average 10 these days, hasn't offered a lot and got himself a YC for a deliberate slap down.

Presumably a slap down which went forwards.

    Slapping down itself is legal.

    [semantics]deliberate knock on[\semantics]

We've had posters thinking a slap down that goes backwards is a penalty. Using the correct offence helps prevent that.

@machpants Leinster looked fantastic last night. Far, far, far too good for Wasps. Sopoaga looked like he was still lost in Coventry IKEA.

Ex-England Coach Stuart Lancaster doing a great job with the Irish province. Leinster against the Crusaders if it ever happened would be a good game

Just watched Kaino and Faumauina's Toulouse take on Bath at home at the Rec. Fairly good game to watch, Bath (or should I say Freddie Burns) butchered that game though, Burns missed 2 piss easy sitters from more or less 30m in front of the posts, and then went onto to knock-on in the act of placing the ball - when he was home and dry and clear over the line, which would have taken Bath out of reach for the win easily, absolutely unforgiveable from Burns (I hope England select him for the Autumn Internationals mwhaaa)
Anyway Kaino especially still looked in pretty good nick, picked up a dodgy YC from a hometown ref for doing what Kaino does best, bloody hard offensive defence - jeez he wouldn't look out of place in a black shirt, and we could sure do with him - certainly still has the desire and energy, Faumauina also put in a decent shift carting the ball up and as always in the scrum. Still just leaves me wiondering about what might have been had they both stayed on a little longer. Still never mind. Onwards and upwards.

Did someone say Lowe would not play for Ireland? I bet on it from the day he signed the contract .

Age and health may work against him as he acknowledged himself in regard to his rheumatoid arthritis. His current contract runs until June 2020. He would only residency qualify in mid-November 2020 so his first opportunity for test squad selection would be 2021 Six Nations as he turns 29. He’d be 31 for RWC 2023. So it all depends on what next Ireland coach is looking for in building his squad for that cycle. He would likely have competition from a number of back three players - Conway, Stockdale, Larmour, Wootton, Byrne, Daly, Sweetnam, Haley who may develop further and/or get test experience before him.

Always plays with a smile on his face and is twice as good as sulky Piutau was. Could be another superb club stalwart similar to Nacewa.

The video clip perhaps forgot to mention that Sopoaga had been yellow-carded and the backline was down one.

Luke McGrath’s try was better in my view involving one T Furlong playing a 13 with a step show and go down the left before passing nonchalantly to Lowe who has McGrath inside to finish off the move. (1.48 on clip)

We've had that discussion before and I'm inclined to defend your honour TR. But 'people' (posters, pundits, ill inform crowds) do mix up the concepts.

I've come across players in games whinging about "knock downs".

Court rejects appeal over sale of Ricoh Arena to Wasps

Court rejects appeal over sale of Ricoh Arena to Wasps

A four-year legal battle lodged by the owners of Coventry City Football Club appears to be over

Wasps’ ownership of the Ricoh Arena appears to face no future challenge after a judge rejected an appeal by Coventry City Football Club for a full judicial review to be held into the sale of the stadium.

Wasps and Coventry City Council agreed a £20million deal for the Ricoh Arena to become the home of the Premiership side in 2014. A deal which was challenged by the League One club’s owners SISU who launched a legal battle arguing the stadium was worth closer to £30million to the taxpayer.

A four-year battle in the courts has ensued, as Coventry City’s owners SISU argued the buyout of the operators of the Ricoh Arena, ACL, by Wasps involved a ‘total absence of transparency’ by the city council.

Wasps buyout of ACL ramped up the length of the lease on the Ricoh Arena from 39 years to 250 years, a sizeable increase in value which SISU calculated to be worth £27million and claimed would price them out of their own bid to make the stadium theirs.

The decision by a Judge to reject SISU’s appeal against the case being thrown out last July leaves the groundshare between the rugby and football clubs down to the discretion of Wasps.

Coventry City released a statement before Friday’s court verdict voicing their desire to enter groundshare talks with Wasps over extending their tenancy, which expires next summer.

I didn't actually realise Coventry City were renting back their former stadium.

From a Wasps POV, they need to somnewhow internally re-configure that stadium to reduce capacity, maybe with more lounges etc. It looks like a Super Rugby venue, swathes of empty seats.

Watch this around 55 second mark. Glasgow think they have scored but the whistle had gone and Itoje joins in with their celebrations to mock them. Sadly that isn't when his broken nose happened.
The guy is a grade A cock.
