Apparently saying "I'm sorry" makes her feel better about herself. You could try that?
I liked this - "The Melodrama singer..." - which I read as this - Lorde sings " a song in which the characters show stronger emotions than real people usually do". Also the way she behaves, so I thought that was quite apt.
Unfortunately it seems that she has an album called "Melodrama" - which I doubt is a comment on her self awareness.
