30-8 to England at half time. Massive, massive statement again from Eddie Jones, John Mitchell and their men. They are finding so much space behind the French right wing through precision kicking and passing.

England are taking 2019 by storm so far.

Don’t think he was that bad for his ‘cameo’ appearance.

He was average - way better than he was against England - but, to be fair, that wouldn't be hard. Finn Russell was streets ahead of him as was Farrell last week.

made the pass for Stockdale’s try

According to the commentators, it was a planned move, so quite probably nothing special.

And therein lies the sneaking, but growing suspicion that Sexton is only really effective behind a strong pack and when a game is going to plan.

@Victor-Meldrew yeah pretty laughable to pick the pass to Stockdale as a highlight when it was a nothing pass, you'd be astonished if Masaga couldn't make that pass. But didn't your last sentence just describe...a first five?

Why does itv have Jeremy Kyle's brother presenting this?

Can't see Scotland or Italy coming to Twickenham and stopping this England juggernaut. Only Wales in Cardiff realistically stand between them now and a Grand Slam in World Cup year.

What does Dan Robson have to do to get on the pitch?

Owen Farrell's try makes it 44-8. England being ruthless here. France are being crushed.

Man I can't wait for Fridays KO in SR. Without the fun of promotion/relegation the 6N is pretty much dead as a comp and boring as shit. Most of these results could have been predicted by Aunt Rose who knows nothing about rugby..

Ummm... How's that promotion/relegation working out in SR? Rugby championship?

@Bones The quality of rugby so far in 6N is soooooooooo predictable. Bloody Italy and France don't bother turning up any more (that is when they aew not busy populating their national teams with foreign players) Scotland simply don't have the cattle, Wales are so-so and England although very good play their crash-bash syle down to a tee with little or no invention, while Ireland has flattered to deceive. Bloody hell the coaches rants are more interesting.

@ShadowTrooper Not sure I'd agree that England are playing "crash-bash" rugby. And certainly haven't heard anyone of note suggest that the RWC is in the bag. But keep going, please. I've nearly got a winning line on my "lazy stereotypes" bingo card...

Top class first-fives don't go to pieces when things don't go to plan ....or when they're playing behind a non-dominant pack

I'd be delighted if NZ had played like that in November. Need I remind you of our 9 points - yes 9 points - at Dublin.

England have been very good so far, the rest very average.

Crash bash is the basis of the game for them though. Once that creates an opportunity they change to take it. Nothing wrong in that it is their style and they currently have the uninjured cattle to make it work. Take any 2of the crash bash merchants of the Vunipolas and Tuilagi out of the side and that game plan looks far less effective. Even if they aren’t carting the ball they run very disruptive lines that verge on illegal as they put bulk between the ball and the defence. Something looked very wrong about that first try to May. Seemed to me like players in front of the ball started running forward into blocking positions to stop any possible covering defence.
If the three mentioned stay fit then NZ is probably the only side with the ammo to out gun them but we have to unlock the defence first

That, right there, is modern rugby. It's been a headache for a while- but what the hell do you do. Players get up, then run fast or slow to modify defenders lines, unsight them and interfere with play. Everyone does it, at all professional (and I presume amateur) levels. It's just annoying when you see it going unchecked.

So, verging on illegal. Do you mean legal?
