@Crucial out of interest who is funny in your opinion ?

    Hannah Gadsby?

    I just googled her.

I think I'd rather have an intimate night with Ursula Carlson than Hannah Gadsby....

Now I had to Google. Good christ! I feel sick.

They both like chicks so you’re sweet.

Hannah Gadsby is a self aggrandising narcissistic black hole , I must say I’m a bit surprised @booboo and @crucial are such huge fans .
Then again they don’t like Leigh Hart so their taste in comedy was already questionable.

Maybe Leigh Hart needs to up his game and talk about rape and domestic violence? That's of course what every audience wants to hear about when going to see stand up comedy.

    Funniest TV characters ?

For me Al Bundy. Absolutely outstanding.

Homer Simpson is his only equal assuming you can count a cartoon character.

Family Guy and South park whilst good aren't a patch on the Simpson's.

For stand up - Doug Stanhope

The whole stand up format is really tired though, most comics follow the same beat over and over. Particularly with the glut of netflix crap

There's funnier stuff happening on on podcasts. I'm amazed this thread has gone on this long with out @tim mentioning his love for Nick Mullen. I think Shane Gillis will get a similar following in a year or so

Special mention to Sam Hyde. Most people will find him vile. A personification of 4chan humour. The performances he was doing a few years ago, making the audience the target of the humour, were great

She should really piss off and do ted talks , irrespective of her hideous visage she’s not funny . She’s an attention vacuum , I see she’s decided she’s autistic as well for extra oppression olympics points .

    Redirect Notice

The worst part is all the blokes who risked going to see her in the hope of getting laid afterwards probably realise five minutes into her act that after 60 minutes of a man hating tirade and rants about sexual assault the chances of any sub duvet action are virtually nil.

Fuck . How did I forget Stanhope? He’s fucking awesome . The bit about the killer whales is probably my favourite.
I see Jim Jeffries has been caught stealing a couple of his old jokes .

Agree about Netflix, them throwing money at comedians has been a bit hit and miss .

I was genuinely surprised at how good Ricky Gervais was given everything he's done since Extras has been pretty downhill in my opinion.

Totally agree that those informal podcasts where funny people talk shit are much funnier than stand-up comics doing their "bit". Most of the Netflix specials barely get a chuckle out of me. When the trailers are unfunny and shit then it doesn't exactly bode well for the entire set. There's some obese Latino dude on Netflix who is just utter pants.

Cheers for that - never seen him before, seems good thus far. He sounds exactly like the voice in the back of my head which I try to ignore when around other people.

Leigh Hart - really struggling to understand that some people actually think he's funny... it's just... WTF?

Billy-T... I'll never hear the song "To All The Girls I've Loved Before" without seeing his ridiculous grin... possibly the first bit I ever saw him do,
And.. know perfectly well that later this year, in Japan, I'm going to seriously struggle to avoid smirking whenever talking with the Japanese, with Billy-T's "3 tips on speaking Japanese" in the back of my mind.
    Edit:

"Nah - shut up... listen... "

@Kruse back when people didnt get offended at everything.

Plenty of classic Billy T stuff on Youtube...one flight I was on to the UK had the full series of the Billy T James Show, so I watched.

Speaking of Billy T, might see if I can find a copy of Came a Hot Friday... 🤔

I make a vow now to myself and the Fern... at some point in September/October... I'm going to use the constipated version of "Arigato"

And - just checked... I do have "Came a Hot Friday" in my video collection... seems like something to watch tomorrow while getting paid.
