@Bones I can't remember whether they had to try defending against a maul last week; probably because the Canes' line-out didn't work. Would be a worry for the ABs if that's a weak point of all NZ teams.

Brumbies with an interesting tactic of the tackler not releasing the tackled player, but not being on the wrong side and 'serving' him up to the next Brumbie in for the steal. Ref buying it hook, line, sinker.

What cheesed me is knockons ignored, adn probable people being 'out' being missed.

The standard of officiating in rugby is terrible. The laws dno't help, but god help me it's a hard watch sometimes.

That touchie is Nick Hogan (Wellington referee), one of the local officials they use in addition to the 15-man SR referee team. Until last year, he was refereeing Heartland games only.

Missed the first 2 tries. Some dumb play there by the Canes but otherwise looking pretty good. Coles and Ardie killing it.

Yeah that was utter shit. If you can't trust your eyes for something like that then you have no business being there.
