Thread started about 80’s shows but as it was for me part of growing up in that era was the countless repeats of older shows from the 60’s and 70’s
They always showed reruns of I dream of Genie and Bewitched too. I preferred the genie myself

I Dream or Jeanie was funnier and more appealing on the young eyes.
Surprised some of you old romantics haven’t mentioned Love Boat...

in terms of shows I used to love watching with my Grandparents pretty hard to go past Star Trek, Dukes of Hazard, A Team and Knight Rider.
I'm not sure my granddad watched anything American. Was all British comedies. Absolutely loved Dad's Army.

In the mid to late 80s these guys and their contemporaries dominated the box for me and most of my mates
A mate and I have been talking about this a lot recently. We were pretty big wrestling fans at uni (the Raw is War era, the end of WCW). My kids are starting to get in to it now, and it's shit.
We were blessed in a way to have these guys as our introduction. Roided up weight lifters who were all mental made for some fucking great TV. Mean Gene playing it straight and letting these absolute lunatics sound off.
Raw is War was great, more professional, bit darker. But the WWF was larger than life, and just fucking amazing.

it's just an enormous list of these huge personalities that could all monologue, all hold an audience, and would do outrageous stuff to entertain.
Now some dude named Seth Rollins is headlining Wrestlemania. That sounds like a jobber from the 80s.
