I wouldn't* buy a great wall but it'll interesting to see how this stands up long term.
*you can also read that as "cant even afford to"
China are doing electric well. The Great Walls I've seen around - mostly in the medium SUV category like my X-Trail - have space and are cheap. But they're also cheap so hopefully this electric kick is a way for them to get some market share.
Given the wife will have a new car in the next week, looks like I'm going to have to be the guy to grab the family's first EV, and that means something that can go camping
Manufacturers who make commercial vehicles are normally pretty slow to put the sort of safety gear they put into their passenger vehicles , probably to help keep costs down but even so Great wall have lagged behind the other companies.

All good points, but: camping.

You forgot the stringy singlet. Is that because you want to wear it?

@Kirwan Robert Scoble. Now there's a name I haven't heard for a while.
Yes. Took a year off to save his marriage from some pretty bad behaviour on his part. Substance abuse issues too.
He is an enthusiastic technologist though, so hopefully he’s sorted himself out now.

Short haul aircraft are candidates for electrification but not sure what the fight profile would be - basically the same weight landing as taking off, which I imagine takes some getting used to.
" ... seaplane operator Harbour Air, which is based in Vancouver, Canada ... is switching its entire fleet to electricity!"

@NTA 's favourite 4WD manufacturer just got a $500 million investment from Ford
-
@antipodean Good stuff - they told GM to fuck off so I assume the conditions of the Ford deal are significantly more flexible.
