Heard strong rumours from people high up in the pharmaceutical industry that they've, for some years now, been able to kill cancer cells pretty effectively and more efficiently than current drawn out procedures. A bit like ant spray kills ants for the time being, but the ants could come back, to be killed again, to use a clumsy analogy.
Some say that the Israelis are going to release these medications soon.
Now, granted, this is piss weak information but I thought I'd pass it on. Either there's something to it, or, most likely, this post drifts into nonsense obscurity like nearly all of my previous bollocks.... but I post this in anticipation of being sage.
I'm suspicious of the pharma game though because, like the ineffectual drug war, profits seem to trump public service solutions.

[edit] There's ongoing medical research that can show remarkable benefits but takes forever to get through all the necessary steps to be accepted as fit for use on humans. So just because something shows promise in a petri dish doesn't mean you skip the lengthy and expensive steps to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the drug to have it accepted and regulated for the market.
Also, if you could take a pill and have your cancer cured, it would be worth a fortune. Every drug company on earth is investing billions looking for this magical solution. Why would they do that and then not release it?

@antipodean yeah I know, bit of a sad post. The sauces made me wonder....
Correct move to this thread, thanks @taniwharugby

The problem with that theory is that cancer isn’t a disease. It’s is a blanket term for a whole lot of different diseases. The cure that Big Pharma supposedly has is unlikely to work for all in the same way that the chemical cocktails used for treating melanoma won’t even be tried for Merkel cell carcinoma, even though they both fall into the category of skin cancers. The whole argument is like suggesting there might be a single cure for all viruses.

@booboo that's buzzy. We know, without a doubt, there is other life in our universe given the sheer scale of it (I posted a video in the Science thread that highlighted that).
I love the UFO stuff. I had a teacher at college that said he had a UFO encounter. Was a great way to get him off track, if we asked about it he'd spend an hour recounting all of the details. Was in a park and something hovered above him that he reckoned was not from this world.

Probably largish feral cats as hinted at.
Recall someone actually caught/captured/shot one in the Victorian highlands a few years back where rumoured "panthers" lived. Might have only had its tail, or some other appendage.
Anyway testing it was a feral "domestic" puddy tat. They tend to grow quite large in the wild.

A week or so back we drove down to the Sunny Coast and drove past this rather large black road kill animal on the highway, at a place called Gunalda.
Thought that it looked like a cat. Got Mrs Boo to check it out on the way back.
It was a cat, and it was fucking youuuge. Labrador size.
