@mariner4life Yeah - I'm not optimistic about Liverpool's chances - though a City choke is always possible.

Wolves in the last round is a stumbling block.

That's not a stumbling block. That's not a banana skin. That's avery tough challenge, and if they win it, that's a great result given Wolves' form against the top 6.

@mariner4life Well, if Jamie Vardy should happen to open the door, you'd better hope it's not a stumbling block or a banana skin... 🙂

Fulham's form since relegation has been excellent - much better than positions 3-6 ....

@dogmeat I've been thinking of you watching Fulham start to come good after it became too late. That's so shit.

@dogmeat Man City and Liverpool heading for the second and third highest points hauls of all time - after Man City last year.

My friend who is a staunch Liverpool supporter reckons Jamie Vardy is going to save the day!

Rodgers to finally win the title for Liverpool?

Look, we're destined for 2nd. Even if someone trips City, we'll fuck it up, draw, and lose on goal difference.

It's perfectly set up - 2 ex-Liverpool managers to decide the title at the weekend.

I actually feel our chances are greater now that City have the banana skin of Burnley out the way. I think the odds of us having to hang onto top spot against in two PL games, while navigating two tough CL semi finals, would have been too much. Let's say City now drops points against Leicester (quite possible, albeit unlikely), holding our nerves at home against Wolves, who will have already wrapped up 7th place, and knowing our fate in the CL, would be much more manageable.

I still don't think it's likely we go into the last match needing anything other than a complete meltdown by City, though.

Anyone get to see Spurs 0 Ajax 1 this morning? Is it worth watching the game in the full replay, UCL highlights package on Sky or the Highlights app (5 mins)??

Spurs were outplayed badly in the first half, we got into the game in the second, had few chances. I reckon we askes enough questions to think that getting a couple of our first choice players back we could go there and win the tie

It is set up well for the return. Spurs will have nothing to lose and Ajax would probably be more comfortable going for it rather than trying to hold a lead. Could be another epic.

If we can have Son, Sissoko and Winks back we will have a good chance

The more you look at Liverpools season the more incredible it is. They are on their way out of Europe and will nearly have 100 points and not win the league.

1 single loss in the league!

It's pretty impressive to have UCL away games at Benfica, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Juventus and Spurs and be unbeaten. And who would have thought Blind and Tadic would be key components of it ....

Sounds like Liverpool were a bit unlucky/not ruthless enough tonight.

Have you seen Messi's free kick? That was sublime!

I didn't get to watch, but i was following a text tracker. Seems like Liverpool were balls deep in the tie, and then Messi did Messi stuff and we lose 3-0. Sometimes there just isn't much you can do when the world's best player decides to just win the thing.

I don't wish ill health on brilliant players, but it would be nice if he skipped the return leg.

Even without him I don't think 3-0 is achievable. 1 goal, yes. 2 goals tough but maybe, 3 goals and not concede, no chance
