    A break dancing all black coach is the stuff dreams are made of ,

    A 45 year old with a comb-over is not a good look. Hiding his bald patch I'm sure. 🙂

    Judging by many of his predecessors I don't think Robertsons appearance is anything to worry about given we've had blokes who permanently looked like they were at a funeral ( Wylie, Mains, Henry ) nerdy corporate types ( Hart ) and fat fluffybunnies ( Hansen, Foster )

    Razor will be a breath of fresh air.

    @Machpants he says all the right things...

    I wonder if when they speak to Razor they have a conversation about being assistant to Fozzie (given the track record the last dozen or so years would indicate Fozzie is odds on likely to step up, especially if they win the RWC again)

    WHo else will apply? Who else is available is probably the thing.

    Gats surely cant be given his Lions commitments, Schmidt has ruled himself out...

    @taniwharugby I like that idea, Razor has had a pretty quick rise, if he gets to "learn the ropes" that seems like a good thing, rather than stepping straight into the helm.

    Vern Cotter is on a one-year contract with Montpellier, so will be free at the end of the 2019-20 Top 14 season, unless they're prepared to let him go early.

    @Machpants

    Good on Foster and Hansen for standing up to the outrage mob and permanently offended pearl clutchers

    The irony is alot of these same folks are very big on rehabilitation of those who've transgressed in the past

    Yet when he have a positive case of rehabilitation and yet we have legions of fools wringing their hands

    I can see a two year coach team set up, as the coach availability will be a lot more then.

    @Tim I like that, Brown has seemed to be one following in the footsteps of Wayne from what I've witnessed of his coaching so far.

    I'd like to toss in a wildcard for consideration for the AB coaching role:

    Pieter de Villiers

    And here's my motivation:

    1. He has coached a team to win a Test in Wellington
    2. He has coached a series win over the British and Irish Lions
    3. Granted he is as daft as a box of frogs - but that just means great media and PR value
    4. With current NZ$ to Rand exchange rates you need only pay him about NZ$20 a month
    5. He is immediately available

    *Disclaimer - the above suggestion in no way implies any endorsement of the candidate suggested.

    Hey if Ian Foster is putting his hand up no name is too daft. Mitch may as well throw his name in the hat again too.

    Why don’t we go to the nearest ballet shop, get some tutus and get aa dancing shop going? There will be no eye-gouging, no tackling, no nothing and we will enjoy it

    Peter de Villiers has thrown his weight behind Patricia de Lille's presidential campaign, and we reckon a role as party spokesperson would be perfect.

    @rotated

    De Villiers might get a bad press but he's a good coach & his resume is far Superior to most coaches in Int'l Rugby

    Bear in mind he was a Junior Boks coach who bought through a bunch of players that won RWC in 2007, beat Lions in 2009 etc

    I can't think of any coaches in recent history who've beaten ABs 3 times yet alone 3 times in a calendar year

    Fark, I hated that in 2009. We just got monstered; Bakkies and Matfield were all over us. Was at the Tron when we got beaten up, and Steyn kicked a couple of 60 m penalties. Was just incredible, and they deserved it.

    Then we got revenge the next year, and it was so sweet. That Eden Park rematch was an absolute grudge match; ABs were fired up, and no one knew how it would play out. Possibly the catalyst for the 2011 win, with the 'bomb squad' forming and getting really good

    @nzzp

    That 2009 Boks side along with 2015 ABs side are 2 best teams I've seen in ~15 years of watching Int'l Rugby

    Smit Beast Bismarck DP Botha Matfield Burger Smith Fourie DP Habana DeVilliers Fourie JP Peterson are all time great players

    Add the likes of Brussow Spies Steyn*2 Pienaar Roussow as well & you have a fucking good foundation to beat anyone in World Rugby

    The only time I've seen the ABs lose live. And despite the long-range penalties and a JdV intercept, the ABs could still have sneaked a win at the end.
