@Nepia not to mention the guy that had to give that coffee its full name...
Considering he's Aussie based it's odd indeed, but as I found last month in NZ you basically have to say the full name most of the time.

Chelsea nightclub, Solitary Confinement, Phone in Show, Stand up and Spit......a whole load of good songs
Absolutely.
And 'Sound of the Suburbs' their only track to break the UK Top 20, hence their only hit.

Went back and read the original post, so some didn't meet the criteria.
But without Google and YouTube most wouldn't remember.

@MiketheSnow I feel like you've been in a thread of your own on obscure British songs from the 70s that most of us have never heard of before now.
@Rancid-Schnitzel The girl in that video looked familiar so I went to google and she's the singer from Republica (a 90s band I only remembered when reading the Wiki page).

No recognition for Ghost in my house or Gotta See Jane?
-
Surely this is the ultimate? A world-wide hit, No1 in the US and UK for weeks on end, then nothing.
-
A late contributor but getting with it now...

A couple of winners from @Catogrande there. Definitely never heard of anything else from the Archie’s or Ram Jam.

[Pedant] The Archies weren't a real group and Ram Jam have already made an appearance in the thread. [End/Pedant]

As I wrote, a few slipped through the cracks from not sticking to the original criteria.
