I'm just glad Tamihere's let his mouth run away from him during the election campaign.
I mean it was always odds on to happen, but I can't imagine the scale of the damage he could do to Auckland if elected with his bullshit no thought popularist policies.
I'm not particularly a fan of Goff's but Tamihere makes him look like a combination of Roosevelt, Churchill and Mandela.

For some reason I read Mugabe as your last name, and chortled to myself.
Not a fan of either, but I am really not impressed with Goff's insistence that there are no possible savings at all to be had with Auckland Council, so rates must rise hard.
Wazzer. He's not trying. JT would at least stir things up at Council (despite being mildly loony)

JT is a total kook

Normally Ardern gets fawned over when she is overseas . The leader of the free world seems uninterested by her
A 'Pull aside' is different from a 'Reach around' right?

Correct. A pull aside is also different from a pullthough, which is an overly ambitious Willis. Same as a Hager.

Add this to the list along with Kiwibuild, CGT etc etc etc

I understand he may have thought WP’s dinner expenses had been exaggerated. Apparently he worked out that for it to be right Winny would have to be drinking a litre of dinner per day, which obviously can’t be true.

He would have a litre for breakfast I suspect.
Everything financial is funnelled through Peters lawyer and I doubt anyone but those two actually knows how much is donated or where it comes from.

@Tim I don't see what his beef is with the Uni TBH. There has been a serious allegation, they have suspended him on full pay while it is investigated.
Good on him for standing up for what he sees as his rights but I don't think he can attack the process. He's also going on about the effect of it being known but he's the one who has publicised it.
Have to say it all sounds a bit creepy and tacky anyway. He hasn't denied the kisses, so it comes down to defining "inappropriate". That's a whole can of worms.
-
@dogmeat Making "inappropriate" a light, after work gesture is a serious issue now, especially for people in academia. I would hope that, if that's all there was, that he is protected by employment law, and it pushes back on this kind of woke action for a while.
Getting fired from an academic position is really serious, because the pool of employers is very small. It's not just something to shrug off and say "oh well, it was probably political".
-
@Tim I understand that - my best mate is in academia [and as woke as they come] but the Uni has to follow due process under NZ Law. If I received an allegation of inappropriate behaviour I would suspend but investigate as quickly as possible so as to minimise any fallout and make sure the finding was at least as widely circulated as the allegation.
Guy sounds like he has (bow to your yacht rock love) delusions of Kotterdom. Wants to be the cool lecturer. In this day and age at the very least the alleged actions display an incredible naivety and lack of self awareness.
